Dackly's Petrify slams into the bubble of magic surrounding Alanis and...

The crackling noise increases in amplitude before, suddenly, stopping.

Then, a different crackling noise starts up as two jagged bursts of stone writhe away from where Dackly glared, trashing about the room, splitting into fractals and loops as the pent-up magic burns into the space.  Those in the room have to dodge as tendrils of stone leap about.

Then, the rate of growth judders to a halt.

The stone stays still for a moment, suspended in space despite having no anchor, before starting to crack.

The cracks race along the stone, shearing off pieces and grinding them into dust as the unstable magic pounds through the thing it created to destroy it.

At the end of it, there is naught but a layer of dust.

The magic seems to have exhausted itself - there is no longer any sort of interference with Evridiki's scans.
