The smell seems to be emanating from the kitchen.

Those following the smell would come across Sandra, sitting on a chair in the ship's kitchen, reading a book.
The oven is on.

Victoria looks for a seat and waits, and decides not to randomly talk to the person who doesn't know her, at least until they notice her.

"Well, it's what happened.. As incredibly stupid as we think it is."

"Our world never went to war like that. We just had giant monsters and supervillains instead."

Sandra flashes an uneasy smile at Victoria (and presumably Kyle).
"I-I was j-just making some l-lasagne, umm... I-if you w-want some you can wait a-around..."
She seems to be almost choking out the words by the end of the sentence, glancing back to her book.

"Sure, haven't had that in ages. It smells good!"

"That sounds arguably worse?"
