Hikari glares at the Vertex, looking over at her unconscious fellow Hero, before firing a massive shot at the Libra! It is a
critical hit! Although the attack is
reduced in strength, it still deals
44 damage!
Anna executes another Transform Attack, smashing away at the Libra Vertex with Vindicator!
The first strike deals

The second strike is
negated.
The third deals
12 damage.
Garnt backstabs the Vertex once more with a mighty leap and a sword in the back, dealing
21 damage and healing
7. With a loud screech, the Vertex is now in
critical status!
Motya
attends to Chryssa, stabilising her. She won’t be getting up and fighting, but at least she won’t die. He also uses his advanced reflexes to spit acid at the Vertex! Although
undamaged, the Vertex’s defenses are
weakened.
The Big Daddy tends to Chizuru’s wounds. Again, the Hero’s out for the count, but at least she’ll live.
Enemy Turn:Garnt is the next target for its large orb attack, as it blasts orbs into the Undead. Garnt takes
59 damage and is rendered
unconscious as his body is thrown clear of the fight. Hikari is the next target of said Orbs, and although Yuki takes a bit of the attack and takes
7 damage, Hikari takes
28 damage!
Anna is the next target! She takes an instant
40 damage from the orbs, this time feeling the hit as it sends her flying backwards.
Motya is struck with a normal, burning beam. It deals
13 damage and
burns Motya.
Finally, Anna takes another searing laser to the face, but she takes
no damage, mercifully.
Motya takes 3 damage from burns. Ian takes 3 damage from the Deflector.
Motya heals 11 HP. Sandra regenerates 10 HP.
Alanis gains 1 extra SYN.
Garnt has three turns before death.

Just before the Primordial can move, however, something unexpected occurs.
The party’s ship rises above the group, a giant gun attached to its underside gathering a crimson orb of energy within the barrel. Loud klaxons sound, warning everyone too close to the Trespasser to get out of the way, as both Heroes currently striking at it jump out of the way, Mio taking care to cover Sora from any attack from the tendrils with her body.
It that Embraces goes to embrace Mio to soothe the Hero’s wounds, healing her for
25 health and taking her out of
critical status.
Ayane goes to heal Lynch with the refreshing scent of burning holy incense, healing him for
25 HP. Some of the healing returns to Ayane, healing her to
full health.
Lynch, mercifully, manages to
break past his confusion to charge into the Trespasser, dealing
12 damage! He then retreats nearer to Mio and Sora, having managed to hear the klaxons.
Eirika slashes at the Trespasser with as much force as she can muster! It’s a
critical hit, twice over! This attack gets
reduced, but she deals
40 damage with the strike before leaping away.
Halcion Cannon ready to fire. Engaging Trespasser.The ship’s cannon unleashes a giant beam of black energy with a red corona, straight at the exposed Trespasser’s heart.
With a mighty sprint, Aesford jumps upwards and catches the beam in his hands, before turning it into a large, sparking javelin of energy and hurling it straight through the dark beast’s heart!
…...and it only deals
10 damage. It seems to
penetrate the Trespasser’s defenses, but it packs surprisingly no clout. It seems this beat out the Fell Dragon’s power failing to dent the Trespasser as anticlimactic.
Dackly attempts to make up for it, glaring straight into the heart of the monster with her deadly gaze. The attack deals
26 damage, dealing more damage than the ship’s vast cannon.
Boxwood whaps the Trespasser with its body, dealing
7 damage.
ENG gathers his willpower and enters a
martial trance!
Enemy Turn:The Trespasser lets out an anguished, pained screech before swatting at the ship with its tentacle! The attack ignores the ship’s defenses and deals
10 damage. The ship’s defenses are
0 for the next turn. It then swats at ENG, who attempts to parry the attack! It deals
9 damage to the Trespasser, but he takes only
1 damage in return.
With a loud, anguished screech, the Trespasser emits a wave of black energy, smashing into everyone! Everyone takes
15 damage! ENG and Dackly are in
critical status!
It then lets out that same wave again, dealing another
15 damage.
ENG is instantly
rendered unconscious by the attack, as is
Dackly. Lynch, Mio, Eirika and It that Embraces are now in
critical status.
To add insult to injury, it grabs Aesford with one of its tendrils, squeezing him! However, his bulk reduces the damage taken to a mere
2 damage; however, he cannot do anything but
attempt to break out!
It that Embraces heals 6 HP. She is no longer in Critical status.
Lynch’s Confusion wears off.
Trespasser takes 8 damage from being Marked. The Mark fades. Its defenses return to normal.
You have five turns to kill the Trespasser before the Shinju fades and is devoured.
