"No, the tanks and healers split in two groups, the damage dealers pile on one until it is dead.  That frees up some of our healers for hitting things and decreases overall load in general."

"Not... necessarily. How focused do Vertex tend to be threats, and things in general that don't involve attacking the Shinju?"

"The Vertex will not attack us unless we attempt to get in their way. Of course, we HAVE to be in their way, so we should assume that they are LIKELY going to attack us regardless.

And no, all that will do, Alanis, is heavily damage one and allow the other to simply ignore the other group and succeed in its action."

"No, because taunting it and getting in its way will keep it from completing its action no matter how few people are doing it.  If they're that single-minded, I doubt they think of going AROUND things a lot."
