"If it stops fearing us, I will not stop you killing it, it is a depressing thought, but mercy requires a degree of fear."

"No, really, if it stops being afraid, it would just be an insult to spare it. Living would not be it's highest goal, and that means I no longer need to respect that."

Finsib continues, not noticing Alan's questionable statements

Alan, ignoring Fisnib, moves towards the darkest corner of the room, with a kinetic shell wrapped around him.
"Uh, hello?  Are you in there?  We come in peace?  Please don't hurt me?"

"You didn't have to. I can see you're not happy with how things went. Neither am I."
Mio sighs. She had to think logically. Rationally.

The heat of the moment was getting to her.
"Before we jump to the conclusion of fear, let us consider why ELSE it hesitated, yes? Fear might be AN answer, and so could hate, but it's not the only one.

If a predator sees a new prey animal, it will hesitate to see if it's edible or not, then attack with full speed and full haste, for instance."

[SOLDIER First]

"Love.
For me. ...Intelligence?"

"If it was doing some robot thing to decide what action would keep it alive, that is still fear, as far as it may be quantified."

"Robots can be flawed, intelligence can be fooled. As far as we know, its entire will may well be to kill us all now. It might not be, but it will likely be, considering what it already tried to do to Eirika."

Alan waits for the Dark Suit to respond, or for about three minutes.

"But we don't know for certain what it was trying to do. Hurting me is, of course, the most obvious answer... But there are other reasons."

"Other reasons, but.....it also said it wouldn't be fixed. Why would it say that?"

Finsib mutters as he takes a position behind Alan

"...I don't know. Was it something else, before...
...What about that enormous dragon from earlier? What if... something.. happened to it?"

Gozer cuts in, silencing Dackly before she could say anything, pausing for what feels like a minute, as though deciding whether to even say something on the matter.

"Dackly probably didn't hear much over her pleading. I heard it say that though. Right before it blew up. It spoke.  We need to know what it meant.  That will spare or damn it."

Gozer says conclusively.

"Until it decides it's fate, Me and Dackly will try to give it the choice it may not realize, if it is really so 'broken'."
