The girl doesn't look bothered. She even smiles at him, as if he'd said something interesting. She even looks a little impressed.
"The things I've seen, I could see why you think that. But hey, you shouldn't let that get you down, right?

I mean, even there is something beyond, does it matter? The world is just awesome, even if it has its bad parts. Here and now, that's what matters. Not what someone watching us from beyond thinks or does. At least, that's what I think."

Eirika returns it after a moment, actually not wearing her mask.

After a moment Ian turns back to the movie.

As does Eirika. She seems to be marveling at the fact that it's possible to make pictures move, regardless of the movie's subject matter.

"It's not that that gets me down, it's that everyone else dismisses it out of hand because 'this thing has to be real'.  It doesn't...

The girl gets closer to her.
"It's okay, we don't have to talk about it. And hey, it's a fair idea as any. But, I suppose, we all have our beliefs.

Anyway, is there something you like, that you wanna talk about? That always helped me get over things when I'm sad, talking with my older sister about stuff."

Anna is around. She had no particular reaction to Alanis' claims, having long been under the impression they had hit their head way back at the start of this and have seemingly not quite recovered.

She seems pretty serious about that.

The girl frowns, looking quite dejected by that response.
"Well, to be honest, I've been a little depressed too, lately."

"I dunno. I just.....felt like helping you out of your funk might help me out of mine. You know, sharing the burden and all.

I'm not sure I should......I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, alright? I'm worried about my older sister, you see. She's in trouble."

"Helping you out of your funk might distract me from mine, so...It's okay to bother me, I guess...  What's happening...?"

"You see, she's.....got to do something important. Something that.....she's been chosen to do, and......I'm scared that she'll get hurt if she goes it alone."
