Well, she would find what appears to be a rather large, floating plush toy that looks like a cartoonish cross between a squid and a cat. A tophat is resting on top of one of its ears, with a similarly absurd monocle being worn on the opposite eye. In its tentacles, it holds a sharpened shovel, a handgun, an evidently fake book and what appears to be a steel plate covered by a kevlar vest.

It speaks with a sickeningly cute and cheery voice as it waves excitedly to her with one of its feeding tentacles
"Hi! Do you know where I am and why I'm here?"
It was at that point that they walked in. The girl looked decidedly normal, but the hardware she was packing definitely was most certainly not, indeed the individual pieces didn't even match each other in looks. Nor was the entity she had dragged along what I would call normal either. So, I questioned her. With any luck, they'd be one of the ones responsible, an avatar or vessel of sorts for whoever spawned this little anomaly. Fate it seems, had different plans for me, and so began my descent down that rabbit hole.

Aaaand also if that cute is an affectation, please, please, cut it out..."

"Oh for Armok's sake the EMOTING.

Agh, sorry.  Why do you think you're here?  You might have more of a clue than I do."

Anna walks in to the room, having followed Alanis and ItE. "...What?"

There were some weird people here, but this thing took the metaphorical cake.

"Eeeeyup...  Seriously.  Why do you think you're here?  Because that darn well felt intentional."

"Do you not know? I was hoping you would. I entered this anomaly to investigate it and found myself here. I do not know what its makers intended."
So of course, as it would turn out, she didn't know. Not as much as I hoped she would.

"Anomaly, huh?  Makers, huh?

Wait, wait, wait, wait.  Did you just say someone made this?  Do you mean EVERYTHING or just this place?"

[Empiricist]

"The makers of the anomaly. I am here because of it, do you not know why? Even though it is in your house?"

[TheBiggerFish]

"You're not helping...  Where are you from, anyway?  I don't think I've ever seen anything like you ever.  Anywhere.

Not my house.  Someone else's house we're visiting while whatever blah happens happens."

[Empiricist]

"Oh. Would the owner know?"

[Shadestyle]

"Hi New best friend! I'm Dackly, this is Gozer, that one..."

Dackly is now naming off and introducing everyone.

"Uh...Yeah, I don't THINK anyone in this universe can open multiversal portals or whatever the heck it is...Dackly, geez, let's figure out whether this...One is even FRIENDLY...Well, they haven't started shooting, but you know what I mean...  No, they don't know either."

"Of course they are friendly, we aren't dead, dying, being tortured, attacked or uncomfortably glared at, our teammates aren't blindly attacking her without listening to a word I say, we haven't explored anywhere new, and that implies that we are being repelled rather than hunted by our enemies, she is conversing, hasn't made any threats, and needs, or would be helped by our assistance."

"Need I go on?"
