I recommend a zero gravity environment, and a powerful system of earth spells, gravity spells, and something to render all the materials molten, and while we are doing so, we might as well also have material on hand to increase it's weight and internal stability further.  Dare I say it, phazon has proven to render just about anything into an unstable liquid when detonated, and in the cold and vacuum of space, we may be able to give that raw power the space and material it needs to burn out in a sense, what with gravity pulling it back into the mix as it repeatedly detonates, fueling and enhancing the magic with no containers to melt through, since only raw force will be doing anything remotely similar to holding it in place."
