"That's what we said. Even Fukuhara can't figure out why, although he's tried to give it to boys before."

"Have you.. consulted any... deities?"

"Well, there's the Shinju-sama, but they don't speak. At all. I've heard that some people can hear their voice, but.....they're pretty rare. Think I've only known of one.

Then again, I suppose holding back the Vertex is a full-time job. No time to talk and all."

"That tree we were fighting next to, back in the Jukai? That's them. I'm pretty sure Mio MUST'VE mentioned the Shinju-sama."

Sandra looks noticeably awkward, tentacles seemingly undecided on hiding or waving around freely.
"Umm... are there many people in this t-town?"

"..Yes, she has. I am sorry, I forgot for a moment."

"It's the biggest city in the area, so yeah."
Ayane shrugs.
