The other young women seem to be coming together now. Before Mio can do anything, Chizuru leaps over and gives her a great big hug, almost tackling her to the ground.
"Mio?! You're back?! You should've given us a call! Or helped us fight! That would've been something!"
"I was.....preoccupied. Chizuru, please stop squeezing."
"Sorry, my hands could not control themselves! They were overwhelmed with joy!"
Chizuru says, speaking in a mock-Shakespearean accent as she relinquishes Mio.

Meanwhile, the other girls are standing around, catching their breath.
Sora frowns.
"D-do you know WHY they're so powerful?"

"Looks like you have a fan club Mio."
Ian says giving the hero a smile. He turns back to Sora.
"Maybe. It's possibly a 'trespasser'."

[SOLDIER First]

"Don't injure her.."

[TheBiggerFish]

"Narrativium.  Plot.  Difficulty scaling.  Or something.  Or it was actually whatever enemy it is that caused some random thing to dump a whole bunch of random people on a random planet to stop it."

"Trespasser? W-what's that? Is that some kind of Vertex? I-I know Mio was sent out to d-deal with them but she didn't know what they were, either...."
Chizuru notes Eirika's existence. She closely examines her, rubbing her chin.
"Who're you? One of Mio's friends, right? If not, I'll have to assume you're an assassin from the darkness and have to banish you!"

"Uh... it's like an eldritch abomination, but less fun than the ones I've seen since they normally lack tentacles and just copy things."

[I am not certain, but I have a guess. Something (large/deep/greater/vast/like me) obscured this place from my sight earlier. Normally, one would not find something like me here*.]

"Trespasser? W-what's that? Is that some kind of Vertex? I-I know Mio was sent out to d-deal with them but she didn't know what they were, either...."]

More or less. Though the words don't really convey Her anger. She hates those things.

"Good luck," she says dryly.
"I am a friend of Mio's, yes."

It that Embraces would, as she mentions vast things, find her attention drawn to the vast tree behind everyone, looming over them all.

There's something about it that hints at [vastness/depth/size/greatness/power] like hers, or even exceeding hers.....but like earlier, she's blocked from truly perceiving it.
"O-oh.

We can beat them. I know it. My friends and I, we're protectors of humanity, and we'll fight them, whether it's Vertexes or Trespassers!"
Chizuru pauses for a moment, blinking, before pointing at Eirika.
"Huh. Your denpa waves seem to be off. You're hiding something, aren't you?!"

[SOLDIER First]

"My face, yes.
What is... denpa?"

[TheBiggerFish]

"...So what's with the World Tree, anyway?"

[Twi]

"So, gods, right..."

The Primordial nods. [Gods, or things that are greater still.]

Naturally, She does her best to do as the Romans do and give what is presumably the Shinju-sama a good greeting. Or at least as much as She can, despite any barriers. The others are not especially privy to this conversation, but if they knew it was happening, it'd probably be about what they expect.

Though she comments to the people around Her. [The god you were protecting is not very talkative, are they?]

"...Well I saw that coming."

"No, more than that. You're.....you look like some sort of hidden prince! Yes, that's it!"
It's clear Chizuru doesn't ACTUALLY know anything about Eirika's identity. Or does she?

Probably not.
"World Tree? Oh, no, don't say that, that's disrespectful.

That's the Shinju-sama. They protect us from the Vertex, but sometimes the Vertex try to attack it. That's why they need us Heroes, to keep the Vertex away from it.

They don't talk much. Usually the Taisha are the ones who do it for them."
The Shinju, for their part, barely responds. Perhaps they are focused on keeping the Vertex put, or fortifying itself.
