In all seriousness, the things we need item-wise include Initiative Boost, Speed Boost, RES boost, Stat Debuff Cleanse, and RES debuff since Bisnif was ironically INCREDIBLY useful for that.  I would also personally recommend a pricey revive, a cheap Previve (While this item is in effect, if you are going to die from something you are healed for some amount and made immune this turn.) an item that turns into a vehicle, an item that allows for large objects to be stored, a non-combat time slow, a non-combat Instant Wall, no less than 10 Spying items, such as minicameras, remote controlled Cameras, Hidden Cameras, Invisible Cameras, and X-Ray Specs.

These are things I think you might NOT think of, so obviously include healing potions, buffing potions and the like of your choice, and pleanty of crunch free noncombat items.  The above is just what we NEED considering how hard it is to endure crafted combat encounters that take people out of the fight entirely, High RES enemies, Enemies that buff themselves, and Debuff allies, and Non-combat encounters where the enemy escapes because none of us can really deal with the idea of someone running away, like Megatron.

I will pay attention to this when it comes to new loot for the future.
I'll admit that in the Megatron fight, there was never a winning or losing scenario. Even if the Party got the upper hand, Megatron would have opened up a portal and got out before he got beaten. This will hopefully make more sense in the future when more things are revealed.

In plot related news, who is ready for train-based murder mystery like in Paper Mario?

I understand that Megatron escaping was a constant, but in some weird way, I am disappointed we couldn't make it much harder on him.

Like, if someone had a Portal disabler field, forcing him to outright run away once we had gotten the upper hand in order to get outside of it's range, running around in the warehouses, trying to slow us down as we chase him, before finally reaching his backup plan, and/or revealing more of his secrets because of the corner we pushed him into.

That is the kind of subversion I like, where we get an advantage for having succeeded at it, even if ultimately, it did not have the full Sequence Breaking Effects we had in mind.

Don't get me wrong though, I love hardcore Sequence Breaking.

Perks:

No, No, I don't want to die!: When taking Damage that would knock him out, Automatically have the enemy Deal the Minimal possible damage, and change his action this turn to "Sly Dodge".

Because as many times as it takes...: Weapon Attacks will always deal max damage, and their effects will always trigger on command if they have a non-zero chance of activating.

I'll come out on top: Enables the ability to summon the Stand "Foreigner", he has a stat called Patience, which caps at 100 and he gains Patience equal to Experience gained after a scenario. Foreigner has no health, but Damage Foreigner takes is dealt to Johnathan instead.

With or without you: Enables the Ability "Doublevision"
