there are plenty of mainstream movies that have nudity and/or sex, but they're not filed under porn

so why make that distinction in the first place if there's so many of them

presumably to seperate games between people who aren't even that interested in the porn and just want their honorabru storytelling and those who want 'PORN PORN PORN PORN' shoved into their faces

like a lot if not most of R-rated American movies have sexual content but they don't have a special label beyond their rating which can exsist for other reasons
is the reason the labels of eroge and hentai games exist is because sex is so prevalent in Japanese games that there needs to be a distinction between what is fap material and what isn't? cuz then still i gotta ask why japan why

movies can be r-rated because someone says a bad word too many times or a lot of people get their heads blown off and they exist for the exact same purpose as any other rated movie,(to entertain, inform, etc.) while pornography is only for the purpose of sexual stimulation
in American games we do not make a distinction for games that have non-pornographic sexual content because they really exist on a mainstream marketable level
