Those become Heavy stuff that is useless for combat because it does not have clauses protecting the user.

You COULD play poker, but you don't stop until you have nothing left to bet or surrender or something equally horrible.

Might be ancient tombs with poker themes and stuff.  Gods of Traditional Gaming.

It is also specifically multiuplayer, you can't really play poker specifically by yourself.

Actualy, new plan, Stuff like Chess, Poker, and other games along that vein are only used by Cultists, people touched by the power that brought everything else to life, and mostly just shadow organization everything with their servants who use normal CCGs and other stuff.

So famous poker players and chess players basically drop off the face of the earth and become the BBEGs.

It really depends doesn't it? I mean, if you just say "oh, it doesn't have any means to protect the user" then it'd still just come down to an obscure game that has rules which allow some kind of attack other games has no means to protect from, wouldn't it?

Yes, but if the game in question has everything attack directly by default (i.e. blocking is not standard), and comes with very cheap means to grant said units with the power to negate those non-default defenses, that could be a problem.

If it goes to RL, then it follows logical conclusion with lore and card effects, and if it is a mirror match with someone who plays the same game, then they are evenly matched anyway.

Actually something I was badgering Elf and Sanure about earlier regarding summons was whether or not it'd be possible to simulate the effects of Overdrive and have a character based on a Voodoo Doll or Armagio Deck
