Thought of the day, what if, Software is constrained by hardware, hardware is constrained by physics, Star Wars' Physics is different from ours, and by extension, their hardware, and again, their software is incompatible with ours without modification or a middleman.

My point was that even if all of what they said about programming was right, they'd still be more than likely wrong because they're assuming that Star Wars stuff works anything like our stuff.

Software is absurdly abstracted, you can't just automatically assume that given the same hardware, people will create the exact same abstractions layer by layer and end up being able to understand one using only a background in the other.

Pattern analysis is not an ability you can brush off as an unspoken ability like a character with wings having flight, or being able to reason out how duct tape works.

Pattern analysis is actually a core piece of AI, the ability to recognize the existence of patterns and to assign labels to inputs. Of course, this does not actually solve the issues of compatibility. Being able to recognize the existence of a pattern is not the same thing as knowing its contents, or being able to interface with it in the first place. It doesn't allow something to fix issues as potentially deep as binary non-binary differences.

Maybe at lower levels, but at high levels of abstraction it's hard to say. I mean, if their website-equivalents run anything remotely like Javascript, then it is clear there is no hope, no God, no future, and that we should all submit ourselves to the Trespassers so that the sweet embrace of oblivion shall unburden us of our follies and the wretched fate they have inflicted upon us.
