Figuring out how to make more than single sentences about people hitting things is hard.

Don't bother. If you can't think of anything to say, then there really isn't much to say. I mean sure, you can certainly find a way to give everything a nice detailed description the first time around, but they'll just be using it every other turn and the circumstances won't change much.

Really for something heavily grounded in rigid mechanics you could probably just do it FEF-style with virtually no description and just with a log of the calculations involved.
