Name: Maruxeir
Age: About 900 years old, give or take a century.
Gender: Male
Race: Blue dragon.
Sex: Usually male.
Appearance: A massive reptilian beast, about forty feet long from snout to tail and covered in slightly reflective azure scales. His head is angular, with two prominent, rear-facing white horns that serve to guard his head and guide rainwater away from his eyes, with strong brow ridges assisting this. He has a broad wingspan, with these being larger and more flexible than most varieties of dragon. In contrast, his body lacks the massive bulk that other dragons might have, tending more toward slender muscularity. His tail is muscular and taller than it is wide. All four legs are equipped with sharp, cruelly hooked talons.

In humanoid form, he tends to take on the appearance of a severe-looking human with fine clothes and jewelry that tend toward the same azure color as his scales. This form usually has pale skin, blue eyes, and black hair, and is typically male.
Personality: Arrogant and rather greedy, at least by human standards. He's not incapable of friendship and isn't truly evil; rather most affairs of humanoids are considered to be below his concern. Do you think about how chickens feel, what they want? Whether the birds hate you? This is essentially his attitude toward most creatures. Still, he could be considered honorable; he does not lie, and is willing to intervene to prevent the wanton annihilation of life - much as a human might act to stop a forest from being burned.

Blood of the Elders: Maruxeir is a dragon, a creature of considerable magical power. Adds his current level to his SYN.
Strong Flier: Maruxeir's dexterity is considered to be twice its current value for the purposes of determining flight-based movement and initiative (and can fly, if that needs to be specified). Additionally, penalties for difficult conditions for flight (e.g. strong winds) are halved.
Harry and Harass: Maruxeir's damage and accuracy (if applicable) are increased by 1.4x while in flight. Additionally, penalties for obscured vision are halved.
Child of Lightning: Maruxeir is immune to electrical or lightning damage. If the foe has an ability that ignores this, treat his RES as double the normal value when defending.

Effects:
-Giant's Strength: Boosts the wearer's STR by a value equal to the level of this item.
Description: A belt that appears to be made of bronze, with giantish runes carved into it. However, right now it's more of an. . . Anklet of Giant's Strength? It's originally sized for humanoids, so Maruxeir wears it on a leg. He attempts to improve the enchantments on it in his spare time.

Actions:
Basic Attack - Savage: Maruxeir delivers a vicious series of slashes and snapping bites, dealing (Determined by GM)+STR damage.
-Level 2: Two attacks.
-Level 3 - Wreathed in Lightning: Maruxeir adds his SYN to damage rolls.

Basic Defense - Wind Buffet: Maruxeir attempts to reduce incoming damage by flapping his great wings, forcing melee attackers to make an opposed STR save or stumble, having their attacks disrupted. Projectiles must roll accuracy and take Maruxeir's STR as a penalty. No effect on pure energy attacks or anything that can't be physically disrupted.

Dragon Breath: Maruxeir unleashes the primordial magic within himself - a bolt of lightning dealing (Determined by GM)+2(CON+SYN) damage to the first enemy it connects with. This energy takes time to replenish, so this attack is disabled for 3 turns after being used.
-Level 2 - Chain Lightning: This jumps to the next available target, dealing half the damage the original suffered before reductions.
-Level 3: Chains three times. Targets after the second take 1/4 of the original unreduced damaged.
-Level 4 - Teravolt: This attack ignores half of the target's RES, unless it is specifically against lightning or electricity. Allows the attack to deal half damage (before reductions) to a normally immune target.
-Level 5 - Surging Energy: Reduces the cooldown of this attack by a turn.

Devour: Maruxeir is not above simply eating enemies in the midst of combat. He seizes an enemy in his jaws (a basic attack), immobilizing it if it is smaller than him and if it fails an opposed STR check. An enemy immobilized in such a manner must make an opposed STR check on each of its turns or remain immobilized (though they can still use actions that don't require moving.) If the enemy is larger, Maruxeir makes a STR vs. CON check to tear a piece of it free. If he kills an enemy while they are immobilized by this, or manages to tear a piece of a larger enemy off, he immediately devours it, healing himself for 2d6 points of damage (unless it's something obviously bad for one's health, though he's capable of digesting even rocks and metal).
-Level 2: Watching someone get eaten is demoralizing. Eating an enemy has a 50% chance to cause Terrifying Presence automatically.
-Level 3: Maruxeir deals his STR in melee damage to an immobilized target every turn, or inflicts (STR/3) bleeding damage for 1d6 rounds.

Terrifying Presence: Maruxeir enhances his already fearsome appearance with a magic. Enemies that can see and/or hear Maruxeir must make an INT save vs. his SYN or be terrified, forcing them to use any applicable actions to run away or defend themselves. In the latter case, they take a defensive penalty equal to his SYN/2. This, obviously, does not work on something that cannot feel fear.

Charge!: Maruxeir flies or runs in a straight path, dealing his basic melee damage against every enemy he runs over or flies past as he swipes at them with claws.
-Level 2: Doing this mid-flight adds Wind Buffet to the effects.

Transform: Maruxeir swaps to his human form. This form has his normal statistics, but can only make level 1 basic attacks, use Terrifying Presence, and use Transform to revert to full size.

1/10 Action Points, plus 0/5 starting Actions, not counting basic attack and defense.
Inventory: Not much other than the contents of his stomach and his anklet.

Age: Unknown, but roughly a millenium.
Gender: Female
Race: Disaster Goddess
Sex: Female
Appearance: Mitsurugi has long, flowing black hair adorned with trailing ribbons of a teal color. She wears a multi-layered robe of various colors, with the outermost being a stony gray and the inner ones alternating between a burnt orange and a darker teal. Longer strands of cloth trail from her sleeves as she walks, though they always seem to be stirred by the wind enough to not drag along the ground. When she maneuvers through combat, the flashing of the colors when her robes flutter call to mind storms, eruptions, and wildfires, and this seems to depend on her current attack. Finally, she has yellow eyes, and a mouth that seems permanently set in a faint frown, with a princesslike, regal countenance.

Personality: Surprisingly courteous and friendly to humans, though she often comes off as somewhat cool. She chooses her words carefully and sparingly, and speaks with gravity. She does, contrary to popular belief, possess a sense of humor, but she rarely displays it where anyone can see it. Her permanent frown doesn't help this impression, either. Unsurprisingly, she is quite sorrowful.

Native Goddess of a Dead World: Mitsurugi isn't quite bound by the same rules as most living beings. As a native goddess she does not require food or sleep and has a limited need for air, instead taking sustenance from faith. (She doesn't get much of it, but she carries enough of the will of her own universe to continue existing.) Worship will make her stronger (bonuses entirely up to GM fiat, if it's ever in significant numbers), and she can appear wherever she is invoked by splitting her spirit, which does not harm her. This ability is somewhat degraded, however, so these manifestations are not powerful enough to fight. She can also invoke natural disasters or pacify them, but the former requires the conditions for a disaster to be present. (e.g., for an eruption there must be a volcano, for an earthquake there must be fault lines. Thunderstorms are easy but tornadoes and such require an already unfavorable atmosphere.)

Dancer on the Storms of Battle: Mitsurugi is agile and almost ethereal by nature, making it difficult to land solid strikes on her. Adds 2*DEX percent chance to dodge attacks targeted at her. (Does not apply to AoE, though she isn't affected by damage from her natural disasters.)

Speed of the Flickering Flames: Mitsurugi's long life and supernatural nature grant her unnatural speed. Adds her level to her DEX.

Strength of the Earth from Faith: Positive effects, magical and otherwise, have an effect similar to an influx of faith for Mitsurugi. Every positive buff on her causes her to gain a point of DEX and SYN.

Properties:
Soulbound - While it is a physical weapon, it is bound intrinsically to Mitsurugi, and cannot be destroyed so long as she exists. It contains what remains of the souls of those who used to worship her, and these remnants are able to sustain her enough to allow her to continue existing and to recuperate at a normal human rate.
Finesse - This weapon uses DEX instead of STR for attacks.
Focus - This weapon can be used as a focus to deliver ranged attacks.

Traits:
Resistant - The divine fabric rejects foreign intrusions, granting a 10% chance to negate status effects inflicted on the wearer.
Description: Mitsurugi's multicolored robes. They seem to have a strange resistance to the touch, though they don't bother the wearer. Otherwise they appear to be made out of fairly mundane cloth.

Actions: (Your attacks and abilities. these can be Magical, Melee, or Ranged and use the relevant stat. (Synergy for Magic, Strength for Melee, Dexterity for Ranged).
Basic Attack - Blade Barrage: Mitsurugi attacks with a series of sword strikes or a spray of magical bullets, dealing her weapon's damage+DEX.
Basic Defense - Parry: Mitsurugi gracefully deflects incoming strikes, adding her DEX to her RES for the turn.

Storm Sign "Furious Tempest" - Attacks the area with a large quantity of bullets, dealing SYN damage to every enemy in the area. A fairly simple attack, but quick and fierce.

Earth Sign "Shattering Ground" - Fires blasts of energy that restrict a target's motion, then flash-steps in with a decisive strike of her blade. Deals weapon+DEX+SYN damage, and allows Mitsurugi an additional basic attack on the victim if it moves.
-Level 2: Adds SYN to the damage of this attack.

Earth and Fire Sign "Eruption" - Summons a large quantity of fiery bullets underneath the victim and blasts them upward, dealing SYN damage but ignoring all resistance save specifically to fire, which is halved.

Fire Sign "Dancing Flame" Strikes a target and ignites it with magical flames, making a basic attack and inflicting a DoT effect that deals SYN/2 damage for 1d3 turns. A somewhat tricky attack, leaving residual threats in a sometimes unexpected manner.

Last Word: "Catastrophe" - This attack is used if, and only if, Mitsurugi would be defeated by an enemy attack or status, and has a cooldown of 10 turns after activation. She remains at 1 HP instead for two of her own turns on activation, negating any further damage taken until those two turns have passed. During these two rounds, she attacks with a powerful barrage of sword strikes and bullets, hitting every enemy in sight for 2*SYN damage and a single enemy of her choice with two additional basic attacks. Mitsurugi cannot be healed and does not take any other actions besides pursuing a target while Catastrophe is active. After the second turn, Mitsurugi cannot dodge attacks for a round.
-Level 3: Allows two attacks per round while active.
-Level 5: Doubles the SYN portion of the damage.

Building Disaster (Passive) - Mitsurugi builds up Disaster equal to 25% of the damage she deals, capped at her level*15. Disaster may be converted to damage on a turn, bypassing an amount of RES equal to Mitsurugi's DEX, instead of using another attack.
-Level 2: Increases damage return to 20%.
-Level 3: Increases the cap by an additional five points per level.
-Level 4: Increases damage return to 25%.

Inventory: A small pouch containing a few mementos, including two partially burnt ofuda, a simple gold band, and a magically preserved leaf.
