Because I've already had multiple posts and four partial builds dedicated to fixing Alanis so at this point in time I've decided to just RP in the OOC whenever fixing Alanis' sheet. The character the sheet is under used that color for text in the game they were in

Fate-Linked isn't Untapped Potential, though.

Untapped Potential is power scaling with time in battle, Fate-Linked is power scaling with level, flat.

I think they meant it's a version of it that might actually be considered. And prevents Ramp-Cannon Alanis.

Yes, it replaces it. It has the same effect as Blood of the Elders. Because not only do the GMs seem to dislike ramp-up, Blood of Elders is superior all the way up to Turn 7, only then does ramp-up exceed it. And with every Level, that threshold falls back even further! Unless battles begin growing in length with each level up, which they don't, you might as well use this replacement.

It was just a sheet submitted under that name because at this point I'm beginning to think that Alanis is like Midas or the Trump brand, whatever it touches does not go well.

But then, his is more limited than either of the two, so

Probably because it has a set cap, and he never was presented with summons that scale with the bonus from the ramp-up. Plus also it's not the ramp-up by itself, it's more the combination of the iffy formulas, the Action bundling, the prior misuse of Wormhole, the attempted revamp that weren't well-received, the controversial characterization, and the ramp-up.

Along with the fact that her sheet's been considered to be in need of replacement or heavy nerfing for months now. I mean, this is the fifth Perk-Action set I've written for her.

Basically Alanis needs to rebrand in order to regain the goodwill of their customers

There's a fine line between Genre Savvy and Annoyingly Genre Savvy, and Alanis crossed it a long time ago.

I can't fix her characterization, but I can keep on throwing sheets at her until one of them replaces her current one, by the mandate of external influences if need-be.

I mean, what are the chances that all three plots secretly have snipers who have been ordered to shoot Alanis in the head and keep any would-be saviors away from body?

Alanis isn't truly genre savvy. If she was she'd realize that being meta like that was a bad, bad idea. Thinking it is one thing, saying it is stupidity.
