Also, the main plan is for Donchaka to flood the arena, Yamal turns into full icebreaker mode, Simuna gets ice buffs, and Donchaka either Get magic boats and a whopping 1.5 times Dex boost, or assist Yamal with her... Operations... while non swimming or flying enemies are crippled by the basically hundreds of meters of cold saltwater depth they now have to deal with while allies get free stable platforms.

The stat buffs are a minor part of the Terrain hazard the enemy gets from suddenly having to deal with no ground to stand on.

Yep. Now we're waiting until tomorrow night. If they actually fix this crap and not tell us they'll send a technician or something they told us we don't need.

Lidia for example had a BUNCH of secrets, and though she never directly revealed them before the game flatlined, I consciously had them affect her every action, and give multiple facets to her personality for me to work on and create different topics and conflicts (a LARGE one was bubbling up before the game died). I don't see this for Alanis.

Oh yeah, a shame none of it came to fruition. From what you mentioned, it looked like you put quite a lot of work into it, far more than most of us really. If it's any consolation, you're not the only one who was waiting for future events to unfold.

  Her clothes are classy and modest, kept in a good condition. On top of them, she wears a mage's cloak with the aesthetics of a labcoat.
  
  All of these are of course heavily enchanted and can call in extra support from magical circles and runes she keeps elsewhere.

• Abilities:
  Being a Nymph - Okay, she's a forest nymph (or dryad if you use the definition that has expanded beyond "oak nymph") specifically, but that's besides the point.
  
  Enhanced Particle-Accelerator Cultism - Just like regular Particle-Accelerator Cultism, but with far lower requires for regents. Basically, stuff that involves the eldritch. Except instead of shoggoths and cephalopods, it has particles and stuff made from such particles. Such as magnetic monopoles, glueballs and ghosts comprised entirely out of Faddeev-Popov ghosts.
  
• Backstory: ((Written as an in-character response.))
  "Well... there's not too much to talk about. It was kinda boring. I spent a lot of my life in the countryside. Not too big a town, so everyone had a rough idea of who everyone else was, but still there were enough people there so that when I popped up, they didn't ask too many questions. Since I just sort of came into being, with no one to take care of me or any belongings, I had to beg for cash. Not for food, don't really need that, or rent since I just lived in the woods. But still, it's always nice to have some cash. The good thing is that the people were nice and pretty well off, but I didn't really look the part. Hah, just picture me looking like I do now asking people for money, had a really hard time at first making people believe me.
  
  Managed to scrape enough cash to buy a flute. I know an acoustic guitar'd be cheaper if bought second-hand, but I didn't really like the idea of hurting my hands playing it. So anyway, I started basking, made money a lot faster. I just played all day every day since I didn't really have much better to do. Used the money to set up a small stall to sell flowers from. Which as you can guess, is pretty good business for a dryad like me. I still continued playing the flute though, since a few people mentioned it was a shame I stopped. Guess I must've gotten fairly good from playing so often. So I didn't really pay too much attention at anything except for the counter. Wasn't really worried about theft, it's not like you hear people running off with stolen things from florists that often. Plus it's not like I'd make much of a loss, the markup was crazy high since I only really needed to pay for packaging.
  
  Then, Eddie died. It wasn't really a surprise since he was really old and was already a widower, he died peacefully in his sleep they say. He dropped by the store a few times before and I chatted with him, but I didn't think much of it at the time. So it was really surprising when he left me an investment property and quite a lot of cash in his will, I must've told him about how I wanted to leave and wander around other places for a bit, since he joked in the writing that since he didn't need any more flowers except for the funeral, he wouldn't care much if I left. Apparently he didn't have kids of his own, so he just gave the rest to charity. Still, really surprised by it all.
  
  So well, it took a while to get over the shock but well, I decided to go pack everything up and leave for a few years. Get an education, well, one that's you know accredited and all, and figure out what to do from there. One day I'll return. I just know it. To be honest, I kinda miss it all, again never really cared much for it when I was there, but I really do miss it. The starlit sky at night. The open fields. Being able to play around with magic without anyone filing noise complaints..."
  
• Post-Backstory: ((Stuff at the Academy.))
  She is now a third-year student and works at the student store. There, she sells protection wards and talismans for self-defense purposes and sparring (for those people who don't have combat abilities, after all, for all the people able to fire energy blasts, there's probably a few people who instead just have the ability to use dowsing rods, or doxxing rods). These tend to use her less eldritch magic in very low outputs, so things like small vortices of mild pain and auras of unease. She is willing to do some more powerful custom enchantments (still restricted to less-eldritch since she prefers to keep the details of her magic a secret), but those take more time and money, and always require faculty approval.
  
• Personality: ((Okay, trying something new this time. I've be making her personality in layers. Layers mentioned earlier are more dominant, they basically define how she usually acts, giving her consistency. Layers mentioned later are less dominant, so they're more nuanced and can make her act different from usual, giving her the ability to act in surprising ways.))
  
  At her core, Hozuki is driven by loneliness. She didn't need money. She didn't need to beg, to busk or to run a business. She could have been perfectly comfortable staying in the forest being a dryad and all. What initially drove her, and what she has long since forgotten, is that when she came into being she had nothing. No real home. No friends. No family. Yes she's made friends, yes she's filled that void, but that drive still remains. Because of that, she's warm and sociable, often glomping people as a greeting and quite willing to help out with tasks provided they aren't unreasonable.
  
  Of course her usual amount of affection has also ended up distorting her view of relationships in general. What delineates a friend from an acquaintance becomes rather blurry when you treat the former almost as well as the latter. She's the sort of person who many people are friends with, but has very few friends of her own, as evident with Eddie admiring her perseverance and friendliness to write her into his will, while she really only thought of him as an occasional customer. The few people she does call friends are the only ones she's wiling to discuss her own fears and insecurities with, rather than only listening to theirs. When doing so, she sounds more relaxed but also a bit wearier and sometimes even somber.
  
  She can be surprisingly self-conscious, and is reasonably aware of how others perceive her, such as how she knew that she didn't really look the part begging considering her appearance and outfit. So she'll know not to just glomp a person if they seem uncomfortable with or irritated by it. This is also why she doesn't really go into the details of her powers to anyone but her closest friends. As far as everyone else is concerned, she just uses some kind of ritual magic, which while accurate, glosses over the whole "eldritch forces and making tactile sensations of a hypothetical plane of pure agony bleed into reality" parts. It's also why she normally restricts her magic use to the kind that aren't as eldritch or may be mistaken for something else.
  
  Pragmatism, while not readily apparent thanks to the fact that she seeks to make friends and find her own little niche in this world, as opposed to establishing a drug empire or something, is something that comes naturally to Hozuki. She likes to help people. She likes being honest. But she doesn't need to, and is perfectly fine with tossing such matters to the wind if the consequences aren't acceptable. Again, this is exemplified in the self-defense wards she sells, which work best with the element of surprise and aren't exactly what one would call particularly honorable (not that people in the past bound by honor are particularly honorable by today's romanticized standards either).
  
  At end of the day, unbeknownst to even herself, she is a sadist. In hindsight is should be rather obvious considering that her abilities, which she constantly uses, are well-suited to harming others. Indeed, she likes listening to people's problems not just because it makes them feel better and gives her a chance to help them, but also for the sake of the schadenfreude, not that she herself would know of course. The protective wards she sells work through neutralizing threats through actually harming them, or deterring attacks with the threat of an overwhelming counterattack. It is worth noting that she actually has enchanted all of her clothing with the capacity to call on such power should she "be forced to use them", which while seemingly well-intentioned, raises the question of why she doesn't get someone else to enchant them with something that just teleports her away, or why she would think she'd ever need or want to use such a thing.
  
• Quirks: ((Just stuff that doesn't really fit under personality.))
  She's afraid of lightning and electrical discharges, due to subconsciously associating it with disaster (since when her accelerator runes/circles screw up, they crackle with electricity or visibly arc).
  
  When not talking to people, she normally hums a quiet lullaby, one of the ones she knows how to play on her flute.
  
  She prefers to speak in simple terms in order to ensure that she gets her intended message across clearly.
  
  She dedicates a good chunk of her time in playing around with her powers in private. So in other words, experimentation involving eldritch forces being summoned by magical particle accelerators.
  
  Doesn't actually like floral scents, though she tolerates it. If other people like the smell of what amounts to nature's perpetual omnidirectional bukkake line, that's fine with her, just don't insist that she needs to learn to appreciate it. Also never eats fruits or honey for similar reasons. Not that she really eats much.
  
  She usually sleeps on a couch rather than a bed. Mainly because she prefers to relax and read while reclining along it, so when she decides to sleep, she can't actually be bothered getting up and into her bed. Her roommates have probably already reclaimed and repurposed her bed and everything on it by now.
  
  When excited, her clothing bristles as a bit of extra power overflows off of their enchantments.
  
• Motivations: ((More conscious driving factors.))
  Fear: Hozuki is not a courageous person. She's fine with using otherworldly, incomprehensible magic, sure. And yes, she'll also brave the possibility of rejection where others may shrink away. But that does not automatically preclude cowardice. Her fears are what propel her into action and more rarely, prevent her from taking action.
  
  A desire to find a place in this world: Preferably a comfortable place. Doesn't have to be too major a role or anything, but she isn't just going to accept any niche of course.
  
  Interest: Not being bored is always good. She normally keeps herself occupied with her own projects, her experiments and socialization. But if anything intrigues her enough and isn't too idiotic or inane, she'll be willing to take part in it.
  
• Fears: ((As in fears that affect her socially, not just being scared of lightning.))
  Loneliness.
  
  Losing a close friend (as in, it actually being her fault, not as in that friend revealing that they're actually super-Hitler or something).
  
  Commitment. The romantic and/or business partner time. She's worried that the stresses will ruin the relationship and hurt one or both of them. Lifespan difference isn't too much of a concern seeing as it's probably possible to use necromancy to set up what amounts to a skype call for a long-distance relationship.
  
• Beliefs:
  Hard work invested in the right places will pay off.
  
  Perseverance will beat raw talent in the end.
  
  Relationships are like glass, they can be surprisingly durable, but can just as easily shatter in a mere instant.
  
• Goals: ((Short, mid and long term, in that order.))
  Meet and get acquainted with the new first years.
  
  Establish some sort of room-service style business/club in the image of the services the Academy once had. So things like food deliveries for breakfast in bed, purchase of goods from outside by proxy (easier to get a few older, trusted students approved to go out, than a bunch of younger ones), maybe cleaning (though there probably won't be too many people wanting to do that). The idea is that the members would get something to put on their resume (maybe even some management experience), and some pay, the customers would get their services, the Academy gets some facsimile of its scrapped services, and she'd get to meet some more people.
  
  Get a university degree in something useful. Get a job. Start her own business and get it stable enough that she still has time to organize activities with her friends. Buy a second property in her hometown.
  
• Strengths:  ((These should be self-explanatory.))

• Flaws: ((These are derived from her strengths. One because I like double-edged characteristics, two because it ensures that they act like a real person instead of a min-maxed abomination.))

  Resourceful -> Excessively Independent: She's so used to having to resolve her own problems that she doesn't ask for help as readily as she should.
  
  Determined -> Bad at Handling Failure: Hozuki does know when to cut her losses and quit, issue is, it leaves a bitter taste in her mouth. Failure and circumstances where she's forced to abandon her intended actions leave her depressed for a while.
  
• Relatives:
  None. But she's gotten so close to a few of the customers in her hometown that they're effectively a surrogate family for her.
