From way back when, my plot actually only had... One real boss I think, as compared to the three swarms and a few big mooks I had SPECIFICALLY because I felt there had been way too many bosses in the plots thus far.

The perk is supposed to buff RES. The damage doesn't ramp with Relentless, as it's not affected by positive modifiers. And I meant to tack that on as well as that it takes up a turn to empty said meter.

Alright, so the meter is pointless then, because it would just get out-prioritised by positive modifiers either way, and there are ridiculous amounts of people who grant passive buffs.

Well the meter gives a secondary purpose rather than having a completely flat and unoriginal perk for my level 5 perk. If there's no dire need for Chryssa to keep the RES bonus, she can use it to add a small out of damage. Which she would have to take a significant amount of damage to even get a great RES bonus or any high amounts of damage. Not to mention either that as time goes on, and as the meter goes up, it's going to be harder and harder to reach the higher numbers because of the RES. In my opinion, it should at least be calculated to test for balance rather than you outright rejecting it.

Otherwise, if you flat out reject it, I'll have to think of something completely different that makes sense for Chryssa (and has some use besides just some flat bonus which is frankly boring for a level 5 character) and that'll take awhile because of school and life, which would outright put me out of combat for awhile

I can see the logic in it, but mainly Chryssa's not going to even GET to use her damage bonus OR her RES bonus primarily because buffers. I'm not worried about the balance here because it's pretty obvious it'd get harder to fill the meter, I'm more worried about the extra maths I WOULD have to do to calculate Chryssa's shenanigans because now half her stuff would basically need to be done separately if, say, Garnt, Alria, Idou or Eirika were to use their full-party buffs or someone else buffs her directly.

Unless you'd like to clarify what 'no positive modifiers' means.

No positive modifiers means I cannot use say, Relentless to buff it. Battlecry can work fine with the damage since it's a flat addition to just any next attack.

No ability that say, buffs someone indefinitely (I.E.: Relentless) can add to it, but temporary ones that state a 'next successful attack' like Battlecry can.

That was my thought process if that gives you a general idea? But I can simply have it where no buffs effect anything the meter puts out. Such as, if a party member cast some spell that doubles Chryssa's RES for one turn. It'd only double her natural RES and not the RES bonus she gets from the meter. So I guess no multipliers would be simpler?
