Balance wise, it is either that, or some horrible downside.

Besides, If you want to start battle in a certain form, you obviously do that before the fighting starts and it is "instant".

the poiint is to keep people from becoming HM Slaves AND EV trained monsters.

Ew, both of you get out :P

But yeah, I'll bring it up with Elf when he's next on steam.

To conclude, think: Would you be fine with Motya being able to turn into a glass cannon whenever she lacks a patient? Or Alanis being an utter tank who only switches back to glass cannon mode after Untapped Power has built up a whole lot and she's given herself a Shell, even if her action pool is identical in either form?

Just realised it had no Perk backing it up. It is definitely OP right now then. If Transform is allowed, it should be the result of a Perk that also grants the Form Change as an additional Action, NOT just the effect of a standalone Action. Look at the balancing process of Digital's sheet as reference.

Or refer to Mio's sheet. Hero of the Shinju explicitly allows for Mio to transform into a Hero and to utilise Mankai.

Except, that's a supermode. It multiplies rather than completely changing her stats and upgrades her actions rather than giving her different ones outright. This one is far closer to Aaron/Seratius' Perk which you still nearly rejected than a supermode. This one gives entirely different stats and actions indefinitely with no drawback.

Again, if you think it balanced, that's fine, just that it would set a precedent.

Shiro, as well, does have a perk that allows her to transform like that although it is currently hidden for IC reasons. Basically, Shiro herself is a puppet, and her core (her soul in this case) is able to be transferred to other puppets that she has. that's OOC knowledge mind you :P

I personally actually don't like the double form change. If one form was meant for emergencies (as in, unable to transform and therefore needs to fight in that form), I'd be somewhat more okay with it.

Also, the only reason Mio's form change isn't outright listed is because it's generally considered a given that Mio's going to fight in Hero form.

Honestly, I'm torn. half of me likes dual forms, because transformations are a supported thing in at least half the worlds listed in the OP, and half of me is against dual forms because of the versatility that it can provide. Yeah, I mean, I much prefer having transformations that are only meant for combat, but then... that would negate a lot of different possible character ideas.  torn in half by a mechanic. how sad~

Hmm Resolution me thinks.

Added 10 turn debuff to Shiro's Transformations. Debuff prevents her from using any more transformations until the debuff wears off.

And that debuff can't be dispelled or trigger Facade-style Actions, correct?

Just a warning that even if you set the debuff to an infinite number of turns, Tank Mode Alanis would still be viable~

(Set Tank Mode as her default from, have all its actions and stats geared towards survival and maybe debuff, then when Untapped Potential has build up enough and what can be debuffed has been debuffed, switch to Glass Cannon Mode and finish them off) :P

Which is why me and Elf will be policing Dual forms. And yes, It can't be Dispelled or Trigger Actions.

Yeah, Tank Cannon is not a thing I want to see.
