because you did

No, I mean it isn't a matter of whether or not they're fair, because those two are definitely fair, the issue is that Erika's perk is completely and utterly underpowered. It's a perk, which is only gained once every five levels, and it gives her at most a +2 to single stat.

You might want to start setting guidelines just so that everyone knows where to aim in terms of power when making new perks. Because it was admittedly rather difficult figuring out whether or not perks and actions were under or overpowered.
To be fair, we as the GMs had a problem with that. Over the term break, I'll probably work on revamping the OP so that it's a lot clearer.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that whenever something seems overpowered, everyone seems to do a pretty good job most of the time pointing it out. But the issue is that doesn't really happen if something is underpowered.

My suggestion, and this is really just as an outsider who's only seen one boss battle in total, would be to tell people to set bonuses in terms of percentages, level or stats, rather than being fixed. Or alternatively, to make them grant a single, abnormally powerful passive that may be leveled up like any other action. Because otherwise those fixed bonuses are going to become obsolete eventually, which isn't really something you want to happen to something you only get once every five levels.

@Elf:What was the conclusion, then?

It has been determined that Trump is an average unladen swallow travelling northbound at his maximum sustainable speed of -3 Obama-cubits per second in the middle of a class 3 hurricane.

Unconsciousness: Three turns, then you die. If you hit 0 HP, unless you're one of the lucky few like Mio who has a specific perk to deal with what happens when you hit 0 HP, you're out of the fight, healing or not. Not dead, but definitely out of the fight.

And writing that down so I can put that in the revamped OP.

Yes, and the problem was "You're out of the fight, healing or not" vs. nobody knew about that beforehand and could not plan for battle-ressing people.

Which we said 'wasn't a problem, period'. We can keep disputing it or we can stick to what we already said was going to happen, which was 'bar rare revival items or perks, unconscious means unconscious'.

Oh, that argument. What's the problem with that? I mean it's a game styled after turn-based RPGs where you generally can't revive characters just through healing. And as Elf mentioned there are revive-spell equivalents. Such as ENG's nano-revive.

Chlorine trifluoride is a chemical. So are acids. And the sedatives she can drug people with. And technically, surviving against big angry creatures is part of wilderness survival :P

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Give them an extra perk that allows them to invest stat points into that for a luck-like effect.

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.
