It tried to use hate/fear magic on someone whose whole shtick is turning someone's previously managed hate/fear/emptyess against them? What did it think would happen?

Totino's would happen.

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

I wasn't critiquing anyone, just pointing out the silly-but-awesome nature of things.

If there were a real life AU of this game, the equivalent situation to this would be the gang going grocery shopping when a couple thugs start shooting into the air and taking everyone hostage. Aesford would duck for cover and everyone else would be using food as improvised kung-fu weapons.
Technically, Ian would probably be one of the aforementioned thugs and/or already have a gun.

Realistically, Ian would be behind the grocery store the whole time dressed in a wife beater and some torn jeans selling fake weed to high schoolers.

And Aesford would probably fight the thugs for making trouble in his neighborhood. But that would make his mom scared.

I really hope that BOXWOOD is out of sight, otherwise Victoria will not make a good first impression.
Yep he's gone. Vessel's been ditched and internals been destroyed.

Aesford: oh shit y'all look it's the infinite expanse of non-existence

Everyone else: yeah man it's pretty rad lol
Funnily enough, BOXWOOD's hidden perk was to completely negate the mental/psychological effects of eldritch fuckery, he would have reacted even less than usual were he still in the game :P

Meanwhile ItE was an undercover cop all along. And we even KNEW ItE was an undercover cop all along, even if we hadn't seen her be ridiculously competent. This is us seeing her be ridiculously competent.

Clearly the best form of resistance.

Like many people, Sandra simply is not a hero. And that's alright. Probably. Except maybe here.

Even Heroes need help sometimes. She just needs help all the time. :V
