Marksgoblins ambushed my guard cow.  From a range of about 15 tiles, they opened fire.  Bessie got scared for some reason and ran to the end of her chain.  The bolts harmlessly flew by where she'd been.  So they opened fire again.  Bessie ran to and fro, dodging the volley.  Again.  And again.  

Then I started recording, and she only lasted one more volley.

Was the cow trained for war, or just chained there to serve as an alarm?
