"Your group saved me from those headhunters. It'd be a cowards move to turn away when you were under attack. I'll not shame my honor that way, thank you very much."

Beneath the bronze of his helmet, Chalco smiled and made a pleased noise. Honour... and another mage on their side.

"Glad to hear that. Hold on."

The wyvern burst into the air, briefly settling onto the inn roof. Chalco looked down (literally) at Odysius, who seemed to be surrounded by two burly men and one sapling.

"Mercenary! You've picked us up some more allies? I hope they can fight."

"What? Who are we fighting, a-all of them?"

"Well unless you'd prefer to be killed by them..."

"We're fighting filthy traitors, boy. And there's only..." He glanced around. There were enemies on all sides.
Damnation, that was quite a lot of them.
"Consider it earning your pay well."

"Traitors? _{Oh, I knew I should have been paying more attention to current affairs...} All right, then. I've done this before.." He left out "on practice dummies".

"Eek! Was that Prince Titon I just saw? Ohmigosh, I knew he would come visit. I know it's not a good time but take this to him. Tell him that Elanor still remembers~"

Titus looked from the group to the east, then the west, then slapped Galen on the back with cheer.

"I think I'LL LIKE these PEOPLE if THIS is the kind of things they GET up TO!" The hulking man grinned as he hefted his axe.

"RIGHT! Let me GUESS! Find KNIVEY SHIVS and add on to that CHARITY? Where'd he get off to BOSS?" It occurred to Titus that he has no idea of the name of the man who hired them, nor who they're actually suppose to protect. It also occurred to him that he doesn't frankly care.

"Yeah you will recognize him rather fast. He has purple-ish hair." Odysios looked up at the wyvern rider with Iolani dangling off the wyvern's back.

"This guy up here is another bodyguard. Good combat skills, zero sense of humour."

Lian's gaze twitched behind her as the air shook at a certain bandit's behest, locking gaze on the rugged figures emerging from the inn.
: "Careful, Sen. Looks like there's more-"
She stopped when the large one finished his spiel, and her boss emerging from the inn confirmed her suspicions.
: "...Ah. More hired help. Wonderful." The words left her mouth dryly.

"And somehow I take it you're not pleased with the idea of more help? If you haven't noticed, the prince seems to be assaulted quite often."

"I have plenty of humour." Chalco responded, a tad defensively. "But save jokes until all these rogues are carrion!"

: "What, not pleased with the idea of more chances to overtake your bet with Niccola? Where's your sense of challenge? The only action we've had so far is a one-sided ambush of ours, a botched ambush of theirs, and a demon beast making our last fight moot." Lian chided, sounding a little 'tsk tsk'.
: "More importantly; competition is competition. I am not about to be chipper about my share of a fight being taken by a boor who cannot control their voice." Lian propped her lance in front of her, eyes down the alleyway.
