Santoku lowered his voice enough that the enemy wouldn't be able to hear. "Hey, intimidation is an important aspect of any encounter not based around stealth."

Titus whistled as he took in the enemy forces, specifically their weapons. "CATCH a gander at THOSE SHARPS, Cyrus! Been a BIT since we've seen THOSE, hasn't it?" The corpulent mountain nudged his companion with his elbow, cocking a thumb at the enemies.

"They must REALLY want you DEAD, Prince Shivs, to pay the COIN to deck 'em out in THOSE, HAW-haHAH! Sure they'll be MISSING 'em when we CHOP them up and BURN THEM like FIREWOOD." The brigand chuckled before gripping his axe tighter.

"How persistent these wretches are.  Moving this early, though...did they attempt to pin us between themselves and the garrison and fail, or did they believe the garrison would declare for Prince Titon and thus intercepted us before we reached the fortress and safety?" A third thought occurred to her.  "Or are they simply fools?"

"Wait, are we not fighting these guys? Where are you all going? We can take em!" When it became clear that this was not happening, Santoku stooped, picked up his coat, and hurriedly ran after everyone else.
