keep my pace the same as before, steady and quiet. I can't afford to have the prisoners decide they can run off because the rest of the gang runs on ahead.
besides, what if we get lost? we need to keep focused and use existing landmarks to navigate the changes.

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.

Run back to my allies

(6)

Leaping off of the rooftop, you land perfectly and sprint back to the group. You rejoin them before they've gotten far, exhilarated and panting.

However, the youth's yelling has awoken just about every one of his neighbors. They're starting to crawl out of their houses, curious, frightened... and most of them armed.

Pick up the pace. We're almost there.

(4)

Grabbing the prisoners by the arm, you and Tomasque haul them behind you, rounding a corner to find one of your masked sisters standing in the entrance of a massive steel cargo crate.

"Get inside. We have been waiting for you. Were you foll..."

The masked woman looks around and notices the developing crowd of druggies, junkies and criminals emerging from their houses.

"Amazing. You are fortunate that we placed a shipping container here instead of building a shack; they won't be able to get inside, and will get bored eventually. We'll film the killing, upload it, and escape through a tunnel we've dug nearby."

Once you're inside and the door is shut, she does a quick headcount. Two prisoners, three captors...

"There were four in your cell. Where is Dustan Hache?"

keep my pace the same as before, steady and quiet. I can't afford to have the prisoners decide they can run off because the rest of the gang runs on ahead.
besides, what if we get lost? we need to keep focused and use existing landmarks to navigate the changes.

(1)

The twisting alleyways and winding turns lead you astray as your brothers advance into the distance. You feel like you've been walking for a good ten minutes in the same straight line, yet you don't manage to rejoin the group.

Many are peeking out of their doorways. They're curious and afraid of your mask... but they soon realize you're alone, and the weapons come out. They have you surrounded on all sides.

Be on the lookout.

(3)

On your way to the meetup point, you keep your eyes peeled, but don't see much. All you noticed was people coming out of their small shacks; nothing else significant caught your eye.

Tomasque, heydude6 and Veritas are inside the shipping container with the prisoners, ready to film the execution. Dustan Hache is outside and lost.

Dustan must've gotten separated from the group somehow. Regardless, let's get this done.

Alright, it shouldn't take all three of us plus the other person here to do an execution, anyway. You and heydude6 should go and look for Dustan while the two of us that're left handle business.

I recognize some of the neighbors and fellow lowlives in the crowd. knowing that chances are I am already dead meat, I will lower my weapon, and pull off my mask. don't need to be some faceless mook before I die.

You can fake being able to run on water. You can't fake looking cool when you break your foot on a door and hit your head on the floor.

Are you sure, there are people outside and I don't want them to hurt me, maybe I'll stay and you guys go ahead. (why do I feel this is going to be decide by dice)

(Well, it's a dice based game. I'd rather have a simple "Roll a single die to see what happens" game that's maybe a bit unfair than something that I get bogged down managing and have to cancel mid-game. If it's something that can reasonably fail and failure has interesting consequences, I roll a die; if it's something that happens automatically, I don't roll. I'm doing the best I know how. I'm open to whatever might make the game more interesting for you guys, because I'm still kind of flailing in the dark as far as this whole RTD thing goes.)

Impatient, the woman begins the recording and starts making her statements.

"The regular people will no longer be ignored! The progress that we have made has gone too far in the wrong direction! Regular human beings are being trod upon by the new supermen! It's time we show that there are no supermen; only human beings that bleed!"

I recognize some of the neighbors and fellow lowlives in the crowd. knowing that chances are I am already dead meat, I will lower my weapon, and pull off my mask. don't need to be some faceless mook before I die.

[3]

You remove your mask. The advancing crowd halts. There's a hush and a murmur begins as you stare them down. Some of them do indeed recognize you, even ones that you don't recognize yourself. Maybe you dealt them drugs once and forgot about it; maybe you helped one evade the law. Regardless of your connection, the majority of the crowd don't seem hostile to you anymore, although they're definitely curious about how you got to this point.

Alright, fine, I'll go with Tomasque. I guess I've got the bigger gun, anyway.

"We can't just leave him behind. We're a family, remember? Someone come with me to help find him - or I'm going out alone."

Something's changed; it's not as raucous as it was when you first entered the shipping container and shut the door behind you. Things appear normal, as far as events in a modern-day Hooverville can be "normal". An occasional gunshot breaks the silence far in the distance, the typical nightly violence of places like these. People are returning to their homes, to do whatever they do when undisturbed; the junkies load up with their favorite drug, the miscellaneous criminals and troublemakers start dreaming their next plot, and the rare legitimate individual will simply close their door, satisfied that they survived another night.

One such individual notes your masks. "One of your guys is back that way." He gestures and then quickly walks away, not wanting to involve himself with you any more than he already has. Fair enough.

Without a rush, it's easy to pick your way to the center of the crowd, shoving yourself into the ring of people surrounding your compatriot, Dustan. He's removed his mask. It seems like the least helpful thing he could have possibly done... but it appears to have saved you for now.

Let's just get back to the shipping container. I'll keep watch outside while everyone else gets the main performance done.

(I gave peace a chance. it worked.)
Now that the crowd is not hostile, put my mask back on, and enter the shipping container. If they feel fit to tear me apart for wanting change, they can after I am done. I might not be faceless, but hopefully I can maintain some anonymousness while the filming is going on. also, if I get a chance I want to ask the prisoners if they have any last requests I could do for them. only seems fair, since we are cutting their lives short for a political movement.

They stare at you sullenly. They probably feel that weighing on your conscience is the best they can do, since escape is now out of the question.

Watch the execution and help out with it if needed.

The woman seems to have it pretty well in hand; she must have been rehearsing it, either literally or in her mind, before all of you arrived. You can tell she's done this in the past and doesn't think much of it anymore.

This isn't the first video that neoprimitive bands have released. However, with any luck, this will be the first one that people actually care about. Before, your targets have been local, petty stuff; this will be the big break for your clan.

Let's just get back to the shipping container. I'll keep watch outside while everyone else gets the main performance done.

The process seems to take much longer than it actually does. The anticipation stretches the seconds into minutes, and the minutes into tens of minutes. It seems likely that the sun will rise before you finally get moving.

When you finally hear two gunshots ring out, you feel the weight of history swinging on a single action. Things will not be the same after this.

MISSION SUCCESS

Like last time, I'm going to take a break before I start doing the next part. Probably be back Friday or Saturday.

I feel like this game would benefit from more structured rules, inching closer to an actual role-playing game. Thoughts?
