Its early in the morning and a name pops up in your head:

You must kill Derrek Sanderson.

I'm working on brainstorming an RPG video game based on playing as a serial killer. I'm mostly using this a basic idea of what I'm planning on doing, and seeing if its possible to actually make. If I make it, it may not reflect like this game, but I will mostly be testing how I see the game as I see it right now. It will definitely change to what I will make (and if I actually make it fully made, I will share it for sure), but this will be the basic idea of it.
You get better the more you use your skills or when you make a kill. Your skills get better as you progress. You cannot train skills or grind them without using them in the field.
You have a job you must attend to, working as a programmer for a company. You make 20$ an hour and work 9:00am - 5:00pm from Monday - Friday (for roughly 800$ a week) and you have weekends off. You can work additional hours if you can convince your boss to let you work longer. You have a "uniform" you must wear.
You have to pay 2000$ a month to pay for housing. Food is maintained by spending 100$ a week on groceries. Thanks to technology, all your food is ordered to your house and delivered to you when you run out in your fridge (so you don't need to waste time on going out and buying food).
You can skip work if you wish, but don't forget you'll need to call in.
You will always have someone you must kill. You don't HAVE to kill them right away, and you can kill anyone else you want, but you eventually have to kill the target.
You can kill anyone however you see fit. Open and in public, risking getting killed or arrested but getting the job done faster, or stealthy and silently, hiding the body, and avoiding getting caught, but taking longer.
You need certain skills in order to get certain weapons or gear or even other skills. For example, to get black market weapons, you need at least 4 points into the fugitive skill to buy weapons from dealers.
The game does not end if you get caught and are sent to jail. However, it is very likely you will die if you don't do something about it...
At any point of the game, if you think things are getting out of hand, there is always the coward's way out...
