Ok so it seems that there still isn't much to do for new players? That was kind of what stopped me from even trying the game properly in alpha or beta or what was it. They(he) should really add something for completely new players to do, anything really - even begging on the streets or whatever. Much better than being left to wait for your (hopefully) active liege to assign you something..
Most content in game is player-generated. If you're bored you should find a better liege.
I'm really enjoying my time in Ascalon. I've also heard good things about Grand Fate realms and Magvel.

Meh...I've given this a couple of weeks, but it's just not doing it for me. Seems more like a RP with a few game elements rather than a game with RP elements.

How do I return my soldiers so I can nuke my character?

New slave here looking to help out. I know nothing about the game as of yet, but I got up to the swear fealty screen and decided it would be better to coordinate with fellow bay12ers before I jump in and select a liege lord. So, I'm looking for an opportunity to help out, and some quick start tips so I can help out asap without needing to do a lot of research.

I don't know if Ehndras has any remaining knight offers, but if there's one in Arkhonia that's where the main B12 activity is right now.

This is a very slow game, for the most part. Very, very slow. I'm not sure what advice to offer you, since I'm not sure what's actually needed right now. I suggest you at least skim this thread, since the official documentation is almost nonexistent. It should give you an idea of what interests you.

Yeah, the game is slow precisely up to the point when it becomes too fast. I assure you the time you can spend micromanaging things and doing stuff scales a lot with the number of nobles and estates/realms you control.

For those hoping for semi-independence, the south-central part of the map is thick with slumberblight as far as I can tell. If you can find an unfortified settlement, it might be worth trying.

Makes sense considering so many regions there are crap productivity-wise, scrublands galore, and intensely risky politics-wise. If real life was a game, some parts of the middle-east and africa would afk too.

Hah, yeah. I'm planning on seeing if I can cut either fly under the radar or cut a deal with the Imperium - I'm not too bothered by low productivity right now.

I believe scrublands have some metal production though and that's quite valuable you can strike a good trade.
