If you have at least a palisade then people can't even enter without fighting your militia, as far as I know. If you want someone to leave once they're in though you have to go attack them.

I think they actually calculate the weapons too, not just the "infantry level". So they'd still be vastly inferior to armed units.

Oh I know, but I saw something drift past on one of the official channels about armour being better than nothing and Wugenant not yet having a blacksmith.

Rabble: Improvised.
Light infantry: Cloth, leather without shield.
Medium infantry: Leather+shield, scale.
Heavy infantry: Chainmail, plate.

That does not mean, however, that plate equals chainmail (as both are heavy), or that leather equals cloth.

Of course not. It's just that people toss around 'light infantry' without ever specifying whether they consider unarmed peasants in gambesons as such.

Edit: As of 18:06:22 GMT, Gapluston will be known as Steelhold to reflect the fact that it's the de facto capital of the Spearbreakers. It would have just been Spearbreakers or Breaker of Spears, but the first seemed silly given that hopefully we'll be a duchy soon and the second seemed like tempting fate.

Oh, and I built a bridge across the lake-river. Its a bit below Wugenant, but it still shits on having to walk through my Ascalonian character's estate in Ilmede, around that annoying but very useful cliff face, and then through the far side of the lake. Should cut quite a few days from our inter-realm travel.
