Played and enjoyed the first. One of the better uses of touch screen and stylus.

Didn't get it because Atlas, but might have been one of the things that made me notice them.

I actually tend to avoid Atlus games myself, I haven't played any of the Persona or SMT games and don't intend to :V (As an example...)

I'm a dumb hipster who plays older Dorf Fort versions. Mostly DF2010 and 40d. I also make and play a lot of silly mods, and find my own ways to have Fun.

I may be a little biased, but I do think that Trauma Team is probably the best game in the series. It doesn't have the Healing Touch mechanic

To my knowledge it does. Yet only Gabe has it I believe.

Trauma Team is a good first try. SOME parts of it needed to seriously be overhauled or removed altogether.

Since I've beaten the game once, I can confirm that Trauma Team does not have the Healing Touch mechanic anywhere. There are some implications that some of the characters may have the Healing Touch from a story perspective (XS dialogue for one of Tomoe's later operations has Naomi saying she has the "hands of a god"), but the mechanic itself does not exist in gameplay.

All the other Trauma Center games require use of the Healing Touch for the final boss. Trauma Team does not. If it did exist, it would have been used for the final boss.

The second part, I can definitely agree with. Endoscopy was rather poorly designed, especially in terms of the use of motion controls.

motion controls.
Well there's half your problem right there...
Does anybody know if they really did discontinue the series? I just read that they re-released Trauma Team on WiiU this past July, but that's it.

I think Trauma Team came out about 5 years ago, so the odds of it actually being continued are slim to none.

And yes, it did get released on the Wii U's e-shop, but only in Japan...

So seeing further into Trauma Team

The game is kind of weird... Half the story is actually pretty good (albeit a bit too silly at points... thanks Captain Eagle). Yet the other half is just so surreal.

To spoil some of it the United States Government basically turns into an evil villain for no real reason.

I don't know if it is just terrible writing or just "The Japanese don't know how America works" but let me just say...

I'm going to vote for the latter.
