3rd Granite:I’ve started work on happiness improvement. I‘ve designated a new corpse and garbage pile, to hopefully get the corpses out of public view, and serve as a buffer against future deaths. In addition, I’ve begun work on a waterfall system for the dining hall. Unfortunately, the designers of this fortress failed to include space for the necessary plumbing, but I think I’ve set up a path that should work with minimal disruption. And finally, I’ve shut down the Fortress’ minecart system to prevent accidents.
Some idiot made a mole bone amulet. It’s covered in leather spikes, and has a picture of some puzzlebox on it. Great. I don't care.
Elf diplomat showed up. What does he want?
6th Granite:Some axe lord named his shield. Why is it so important that he dragged me all the way from where I was supervising the digging of new plumbing all the way up to the barracks?
I’ve decided to requisition one of the empty jail cells for an office. It’s close to the work, and tastefully engraved, and I feel it's appropriate.
16 Granite:I cant take it! Everyone here is crazy! Nothing gets done! So much to do, so little time! I really need a drink.
24 Granite:Waterfall running, but I was too late for poor Sazkul. Can I drink yet? Also elves showed up. Didn’t seem to have anything I wanted, so I ignored them.
9th Slate:More and more, I find myself stumbling obliviously around the fortress. Not enough dwarves happy. Can’t drink yet. Renovating the dining hall with silver furniture.
12th Slate:I’ve discovered a half-finished magma pump stack, no doubt begun by some previous overseer, then forgotten when his term ended. I shall see if I can finish it. This could be a great benefit to the fortress’ metal industry, especially with the minecarts shut down
19th Slate:Some fire imps got into the pump diggings. I sent the military to deal with them, but they killed somebody. Not sure who.
