The dwarven caravan arrived.



I traded some crafts and weapons for ammunition, alloys, cloth, leather, and some dogs.

The outpost liason also had something to say:

A few months ago Ingish Fedgild becme mayor of the Systematic Glaze, replacing Alash Flashbells. A few months ago Momuz Abbeyash became mayor of The Machine of Jungles replacing Lokum Equalcrafts.



I appointed origamiscienceguy to be the baroness. She likes battle axes, amulets, and backpacks. Hopefully she doesn't mandate any amulets.

Also, here's the trade agreement for next year.



Sandstone, 130

The metal industry is going a lot faster with the minecarts, but storing items in minecarts seems to be a very low priorety job, so its efficancy is not what it could be.

I finished origamiscienceguy's tomb and office. I've also been paving over land near the outer wall to stop trees from growing there. Aside from a random gremlin, nothing really happend this month.

Timber, 130

One year old Sakzul Nishroldeth entered a strange mood and claimed a craftsdwarf workshop. She's asking for metal and rough gems. Hopefully it will be interesting.

The textile industry is working smoothly now. I've been growing pigtails, hemp, and rope reed most of the year. The clothiers are churning out masterworks now.

Also, I've almost finished forging 30 sets of candy armor. I still need to assign them to the military to wear though.

Both forts are being invaded regularly and I used a neat trick to get the maksdwarves train all the time in Fortress 2, so there's no need to update.

Moonstone, 130

I've equiped most of the milita with adamantine armor. I've also started digging a magma pump stack. I've never built one before, so this should be fun.

Sakzul finished her artifact. It's 724800 dwarfbucks, not bad.


Opal, 130

The pump stack is all carved out. I'm forging the necessary parts for it now. I won't have time to complete it during my turn though.

We lost a strand extractor who thought it would be a good idea to clean cat blood off the minecart tracks. *sigh*

Obsidian, 130

I mostly let the dwarves finish the jobs I assigned them this year, as the job queue was kinda overflowing.

I'm sorry that my reports weren't all that interesting. I'm not good at the whole roleplay thing so when nothing goes wrong I dont know what to do. Thankfully that doesn't happen too often in Dwarf Fortress.

The non-dwarf kills that I remember are the two forgotten beasts and a whole bunch of cats. I think about 4 dwarves died to minecart shenanigans.

Anyway, it's really entertaining watching the two forts take seperate paths. Fort 1 is basicly paradise, but I won't jinx it any further.

Anyway, I've updated the graph of the two fortresses.
