I'm getting the DF itch again. I'd like a turn.  :)
You're in. Fortress 1

@Elagn: I've never messed with world seeds before. If you know where to find it in the save game data, then you can find the embark location from the pictures in the OP.

It's quite simple. Copy the save, retire the duplicate fort, open up Legends, and press 'p.' The world-gen-info will be exported to a .txt file in the parent folder, named "regionX-world_gen_param."

This seems interesting. I'll take a turn, if that's alright. I would also request a dwarfing on whichever fortress I will be overseeing.

Okay, Fortress 1

I think that it would be best if you choose a dwarf once it is your turn to oversee the fortress.

Spring and summer completed. I should have a write-up tomorrow.

I fixed it, converting to ASCII made everything all better.

why. why oh why do you need ascii?

Because that's what the game was coded as. Texture packs don't change just the graphics, they also change the raws to make the graphics work. If the raws don't match up to the texture pack, it can interfere with graphics and gameplay. ASCII is the basic, so it's used to "clear" the effects of texture packs.

Don't pay attention to the body piles in every fort I play, I swear I'm competent at this game.

I labeled the only one I set up. I don't think anybody else has set one up yet.

Speaking of which, a note (N) is much more efficient then making words out of inaccessible dig designations.

Though is does lack some of the panache of doing it that way.

Labeling levers is DFHack's "rename building", right? Or is there something built in?

It's more using (N) notes.  (p) place a note where the cursor is. (n) to name the note. (t) to add text description for that note.
And then, the bridge should also add a note corresponding to the lever that controls it.
