Alright, last chance to vote and for sheets. Well, to get into the first turn. Sheets will be permanently open for characters and organizations; province/government sheets may be limited based on availability, but for the time being they will be open as well. Turn will go up some time in the next couple days.

Name: Edith F. Cromartie
Organization Name: The National Intelligence & Protection Bureau
Organization Role: Domestic Security, Intelligence Gathering and Analysis, Counter-Espionge, Counter-Terrorism, Large-Scale Crime
Position in Organization: Chief Director
Stats & Traits:
Decent Administrator - Years of climbing up the bureaucratic ladder has lead to Cromartie acquiring an admirable sum of knowledge and experience to running an institution. It's not her favorite part of the job, but it is a necessary one.
Apolitical - Edith does not like to get involved in politics. The state sets the rules and gives her orarching tasks, and she carries them out, end of story. She does have a few feelings towards state policy that she would like, ex. she would like more funding as any government agency would.
Espionage Genius - "Savant of the Shadows" is one of her informal titles. She plans operations like Bobby Fischer planned chess moves. (She, coincidentally, enjoys chess.) A handful of people in the world could best her in the field of shadow tactics. Maybe.
IQ of 135 - Take this how you will, maybe this is important, maybe you see IQ measurement as a limited and deeply flawed test that says little about a person's actual intelligence.
Highly Educated - Attended the most prestigious schools during her youth and time in university.
Cold - Despite having the reputation of being an automaton, Cromartie does have emotions, she just doesn't like to show them. On a good day you might get a glimpse of curiosity or contempt, but she is not publicly expressive. She detests having to make speeches and prefers that her agency's Public Relations handle those types of affairs.
Clandestine - What is Cromartie's private life like? Who is her husband? Is she even married? Does she have children? While there is much speculation, Cromartie does not let her intimate details escape into the mouth of public gossip.
Over the Hill - Cromartie is in her early fifties, and while she bears wrinkles and gray hairs and can not personal engage in shadow operations like in her younger days, she still has a robust, determined force.
Associates: [N/A]

Organization Relationships:
Government - Subservient - The N.I.P.B. runs under the behest of the national government. (I believe at the moment we are all going to play under the Taivorian Government?)
National Reactionary Front - Wary - The N.R.F. is regarded as a possible criminal or terrorist entity, but until they are proven to be either, they remain simply watched.
Kokkyō Naki Guntai - Suspicious - Since the K.N.G. doesn't have an outright political slant like the N.R.F., it is not under as much surveillance as the N.R.F. Still, the Bureau knows that private military organizations can easily evolve in military juntas.
Followers of St. Alonis - Neutral - As long as the Church doesn't start demanding uprisings or turning into a death cult, the N.I.P.B. will leave it alone.

Roleplay Info: Little is publicly known about Edith Cromartie. What is known is that she was born into an aristocratic family, showed intellectual promise from a young age, soared through her schooling and ended up working for the N.I.P.B. once she graduated university. She has let her work speak for herself ever since.

Large Scale Crime?

They're the government mafia?

Also, if you can give a bit of background info about the cultures other than Taricus', I can probably try and get work on the Church's background and whatnot.

I meant that they handle large scale crime, such as criminal syndicates.

Player Sheets

Keep in mind you need to update your sheet! If anything CHANGES (for example, econ goes up by five) I will inform you via turns or PMs. If it's an annual thing (tax of seven each turn or upkeep of two) than you need to update it independently. This is so I can focus on the game instead of trying to work out all of your stuff. You'll want a sheet for your character, one for each province/organization, and one for your "Nation" (if applicable; can be considered an organization). Each organization sheet will probably be different; feel free to change it however you want as long as the information stays the same (ask me if you want to add, remove, or change data). I suggest that instead of posting it every turn (please don't do that), simply have one post (probably where you initially posted it), paste the sheet there, and then edit it if anything changes (as well as updating it every turn). I will post links to sheets. [PS: I am leaving out roleplay stuff and the like; you'll need to copy paste that from your first sheet! The stuff below is mostly stats!]

[PS: If you are an organization, please write out an organization sheet using the GUIDELINE (not SHEET) in the above spoiler.]

[ Actions are allowed at this point; those who are in organizations may still ROLEPLAY as the organization, the mechanics are simply not screwed down yet (but they should be by the end of the turn). Players may take one "big action" (manage a province/organization, perform character adventure) that is split into multiple actions; for example, managing a province allows you four actions regarding the province; improving the economy, increasing state industry, etc. etc. It also allows you to respond to events. Going on a character adventures allows you multiple actions and responses within that adventure; this could be a mission, spying on a government, going on a political campaign, setting out to a faraway land, you name it. You may also perform "minor actions" or fill in roleplay details; these can be small things, such as meeting with someone, buying something (personal), etc. Also let me know if I messed anything on your sheets up, you think a trait should give different stats, or you want something removed/changed/added. After this turn, changes will only take place through in-game means. PS: Any character can take a bunch of "small" actions; roleplaying and the like are highly encouraged. Don't feel like you can't do anything because you're managing a province. ]

The political map could use a key atleast. I don't really know any of the other nations on there apart from my own.

(( For the time being, you're unaware of the political situations in neighboring provinces: and even if there is a dominant "government", it may be further split into warring factions or the like. You'll have to make political efforts to discover other political groups, since there aren't really "nations". ))

Start interviewing inventors, for a new article.
Shaquanda woke up. It was the start of a new day, a new morning. The sun would rise, and fall. Yawning as she rolled out of bed, she then went to the bathroom, removing her silk head scarf. Her chestnut brown, shoulder-length kinky hair was in front of her face, and she quickly rinsed it. Looking herself in the mirror, she saw her face:

While Shaquanda knew she could stand to lose some, or a lot of pounds, overall, she was happy with who she was. She then showered, and put on her finest blouse, a jacket, and a respectable skirt. Walking over to her desk, she opened her planner to today. There, she saw an appointment for an interview with one Mr. Alan Jones. Grabbing her notepad, a pen, and her high heels, she set off to the cafe.
