History:
Sera was born in space, and has been in space for almost all of her 29 years. She doesn't know what being on the ground really feels like. Her parents were both officers in the [Space equivalent of the navy], and she intended- and has- followed in their footsteps.
Personality:
Sera is not the strictest of officers, letting those directly under her get away with a bit. She's noticeably stricter in conduct and orders when the situation is serious, or a higher ranking officer is around.

'hokay, we have a problem. We have too many Lt. Commanders since we don't have a first officer. First Officer needs to be either a commander or a lt. commander. All three lt. commanders and commander have been grabbed, which means someone needs to switch.

So one of:
Me
Bowtie
Twin
Culise

need to switch. I can't switch and Bowtie can switch but he'd need to become a Lt. Commander. Which means one of Twin and Culise need to either become a Lt. or switch to First Officer.

I'll switch. It works better with my character's backstory anyway.

If it matters at all, I'd prefer it be Twinwolf, Sentient Bowtie, or Culise that switches to lieutenant, since their necessary skill sets are more focused.  Probably bowtie, though I think his character would be best as a Lt. Commander, which requires one of Twinwolf or Culise to step down a rank anyway.

Honestly though, I'd agree. The first officer should probably be the commander since they need a bigger spread of stuff, which means having more stats is more useful.

If Bowtie ends up wanting to switch to First Officer, I'll go back to Weapons Officer.

Speaking of, remember, you can't fill more than one position at once.  It's generally best to focus on what your class needs to do and then maybe dabble in something else that could come up eventually.

Like me.  I'm the captain.  That means, yes, I need to have some skill at commanding my ship, so I put stuff into that.  I also need to be able to slaughter hoards of foes/disobedient crewmembers, so I put other points into that.

Edit:  Also, I think Ochita wants to hop in as First Officer, though I may have misunderstood.
