SoundSense problem
« on: October 08, 2015, 11:45:46 pm »

SoundSense has suddenly refused to launch, returning a "premature end of file" message at launch.
I just verified that I have the latest version of Java.

Anyone know what might be causing this?

This is just out of the blue; I haven't been messing with files.

After googling around I believe I've discovered the cause of the crash.
The configuration.xml file has somehow become corrupted and contains zero bytes.

Posting this update in case anyone has the same problem in future.
A copy of the configuration.xml file can be found in the original zipped DF package and can be copied and pasted to the DF directory from there.

Thank you. I had the same problem but would never have figured out the solution without this post. My sound stopped working after a windows update, so I was barking up the entirely wrong tree.

If anyone else finds this, the path to the configuration.xml is: [Dwarf Fortress Folder]\LNP\utilities\Soundsense\configuration.xml
