Still a bit spotty, but I think I can probably be back now.  So, I take it the operant plan is to hold the river crossing and hope the wyverns don't curl around us?

OK very general plan is: Niccola and Lian hold the ford, ranged peeps chill out and snipe and fliers swoop in, stab and swoop out. Not sure what to do bout thif but we can figure that out later maybe. Can maybe chill on the hill next to merc boss and hopefully dodge some stuff

Is why the ford is useful since it gives -10 evd to anyone there plus having our fliers around can help deal with the nasty wyverns. We'll be fine.

Aye. The reason I asked earlier about the operating plan is that, while I'm a bit sick and obviously going to miss stuff, it seems to me that the defending on a marsh tile means there's no net benefit evasion-wide (swamps and marshes have the same EVA penalty), while there were two alternatives:

1. Hold at the southern ford.  This doesn't offer any special benefit to the west, either (+30/+30 to ourselves and the enemy, respectively), but it does give us the same ford bonus across the north as we get on the northern half of the ford right now.  As well, heavy move penalties block non-flying enemy from bypassing us and moving into our rear.  This, unfortunately, also impairs Vera, who must dismount, as she would need to dismount to move through the thick forests.
2. Hold in the rough terrain to the southeast.  This gives us tremendous advantages because our hill fortification bonuses compare favorably to trapping them on plains or swamps, but also forces us to keep a wider front open (5-7 tiles, contrasting with 2 at the present position) and allows any riders to use their canto to advantage (unlike both option 1 and the present situation).  The same heavy move penalties also apply here.  This also offers marginally greater maneuverability behind the front line for Vera to move back and forth as well.

However, we can't reach either before the wyverns are on us (I'm not sure if we ever could; I'm not really in a shape to go back and math it out), so it's largely irrelevant.

Now that everyone posted moves, scroll back up to previous Turn update and look to the far right, especially people with widescreens while I prepare Turn!

He's talking about the HRRRN in the dialogue

"Titon? We're after that girl with black hair and purple eyes!"
"HRRRRRN!"
"I see... shall we strike a deal?"

Well then. Team vote time! Stay and try and fight it (probs letting some of the enemies soften it up first) or bravely run away?

...So, looking at it's stats, it could one shot any of us and:

Lizbet can only do 1 damage.
Chalco can do 4.
Nicola can do 1.
Captain Orena and Odysios can both do 2.

And that's it. Nobody else can scratch it. We should probably run.
