Okay so I forgot to post the who-when-where pre-plot I have written so far:

Prologue: NPC Prince + 3 PC retainers
Chapter 1: single woodsman/traveler/vagabond PC (so bandit, fighter but also archer and alchemist could fit in nicely)
Chapter 2: NPC Mercenary leader + 3 PC mercs

That gives us 6 7 player slots total so far. There will be (possibly) more later after Chapter 2 and important plot choices get resolved v;

Here's the backstory. Age subject to change depending on the NPC Prince's age, as I would like Vera to be within 2 years of his age.

None of the members of the Skyfather’s Shrine in the royal castle of the Arvardian Empire know where Vera came from. 26 years ago, she simply showed up at the castle, a baby with no indication of where she came from, with a note asking to take her in. On that note, was her name: Vera Alester.

The Faith of the Skyfather being what it is, she was taken into the shrine. And so Vera grew up in the Castle’s Shrine, learning to be a sister of the faith. She showed a natural aptitude to healing magic, and so began to learn that as well.

When Vera was seven, she met one of the princes. He was the first person anywhere near her age she’d ever met- there weren't many children in the shrine-, and so she naturally tried to socialize whenever she could. As she grew up, she often watched the Prince’s sparring with friends- and inevitably ended up healing them when they got a bit overexcited.

Now, as an adult, and a full-fledged priestess, Vera has been assigned to the Prince’s retinue due to her familiarity with the Prince, and to help him and his retainers when they inevitably get hurt.

Bio and age are, of course, highly subject to change, at least beyond her early days.  Right now it's written fairly generically based on her being in the capital, without relying on her actually being one of the prince's confidants (as would be in the prologue?), but depending on the setting of whichever chapter I get in (if I get in, that is), I'll tweak it to suit accordingly.

Bio: Chalco should have been lord of much more than he is. Over sixty years ago, his family was on the losing side of a civil war, and most of their land was lost. The mines, the source of their wealth, were conquered and taken, the smiths famous for their bronzework slain or captured by the enemy. The Pyritos has long memories, and they know their enemy. The Tetrapos family - supporters of Aesmael - have occupied Pyritos lands since Chalco's father's father.

To always remind himself of his duty, he carries on his back in its sheath his family greatsword - but the blade is shattered and useless, and he has sworn to not wield another sword until his family weapon is restored.

Chalco has three siblings, all sisters. His father is too old to fight, his mother a gentle soul. There is no one else to restore his family's fortune. Unfortunately, he has inherited his father's... condition, and so rarely appears without his heavy armour on.

A friend and retainer of Titon since childhood, Chalco has offered his lance in service, hoping that in the coming storm he can seize what is his by right. Nothing will be permitted to stand in his way.

Edit: I just realised that rounding isn't really applicable for evade, but you probably get the idea

Bio:
Niccola was the daughter of a couple of farmers who owned a small plot of land in Kozanthikon. She lived her early life in relative contentment, although she had to start helping her parents out as she got older; as she was their only child, they didn’t really have a choice.
When Niccola had become somewhat older, plague swept across the lands and her parents passed away. Realising that she would not be able to maintain the farm, she sold the small plot of land and used the money to buy herself an old horse, some simple armour and some provisions.

Now she wanders around the continent as a free knight of sorts or perhaps a mercenary, offering her services as a hired blade and occasionally joining jousting tournaments (not that she has a real chance of winning).

Niccola actively worships the Skyfather and participates in rituals if she is able to.

Besides shuffeling the personal skills around a bit, I also changed my base stat boosts slightly. I guess this should be alright now the duelling PS is gone?
