To quote the FEF1.2 rulebook

Physical Training
Passive Effect
When a character promotes to a class with this skill,
the player can choose 1 subcategory of Swords,
Lances, Axes or Bows. The character gains an
automatic C Rank in this subcategory, and a D rank
in the weapon.

Enchanted Weapon
Passive Effect
When entering combat, a character with this skill
always uses the higher of their Magic or Strength
stat to add to the Might of their weapon, no matter if
it's a Physical or Magical weapon.

It doesn't mention mag-based weapons only - in fact, it explicitly mentions no matter if it's a physical or magical weapon. So it should work on tomes.

Yeah, in 1.3 they get Spear and Magic Helmet, which lets them use any mag-based physical weapon.
I do think it';s better than 1.2, there, but hatkitty is a luddite like that.

Oh, Pastebin is finally up so I can finally take a look at the Camel Rider class. They seem alright, if a bit bland mechanically. Kinda like Bandits/Forest Warriors/Pirates in that they get to ignore a certain terrain and not much else. Personally I would give them a minor evasion bonus against riders, since the smell of camels scares horses. Though either way I don't think that I'll be playing as one, since I don't seem enough there that appeals to me.

Shaundra's not going Spy this time. I'm going straight for Sniper. I was only going Assassin in DG since I was allowed to double-stack on Crit skills and she hit a lot of crits in that game. No, Chris and Taft are enough Spy characters for me.

Yeah, I think it's the angle of the body and the angle of the head are making weird shading issues but not sure.

That'll certainly be nice when Vera promotes to Saint. Everyone in 3 spaces of her will have +20 Evade, +10 Dodge, and +10 hit.

Oh, also USEC, I suspect you'll need to have at least 10% growths in MAG since you start out as priest trainee. Just so you know.

Not really "Dibs" given there's 1 healer sheet already and USEC is making another, but the latter is going to play more like an attacker with a side of healing so another might be useful.
