IC thread is up.  Much of it is stuff from the OP of this thread, but I did add an additional paragraph to the end of it.  Coming up with something better than the 'What do you do?' was proving to delay the thread going up, so it turned out to have just that.  Anyway, head over and let's get this game started.

He's the Captain, though.  He'll need to go up to the bridge for when the ship launches.  Maybe spend the time coming up with a speech of some kind for when the ship is about to exit the system.

What is it you mean by that?

Theres no clearly defined area where the armory is located, or where the troops sit about while on duty.

Weapons are brought through a conveyor system from the cargo hold to one of three access points around the ship (upper engineering hallway, area between the two hangers, and the mess hall in recreation) and are able to be manually removed from the cargo hold.  With the latter I am assuming you are referring to what is done during times when not boarding vessels or going planetside, and to that I say, I wound up with two additional rooms in recreation when I built the ship in space engineers, so I designated those as being a gym and sparring room (Cannot act as a firing range.  Room isn't anywhere near big enough for effective practice.)

I was guessing that ground forces would just work as security while they are not planetside. Also is there a standard uniform that everyone has to wear or is it up to the crew what they wear?

For uniforms, they're similar to what modern day navies utilize in regards for officers, engineers, pilots, etc. and ground forces have uniforms similar to modern day armies and marines.  A measure of science fiction has slowly worked its way in over time, but it is still has a fair amount of similarities to what is of the modern day.

Might as well mention the environmental suits while I'm at it.  This would be a rough approximation of what the regular suits would look like, with the armored variant being covered in a dark steel shaded plating designed to disperse energy from plasma and laser based weapons, as well as being highly resistant to ballistic weaponry.  In addition, there is also retractable plating that goes over the visor and relays images to the inner surface of the visor, so as to better protect from headshots and blows to the face.
