Jason takes a pit stop in the library to check out a book with a lot of sheet music and tips on playing instruments. If their aren't any books on music Jason just grabs a book or graphic novel and reads

That would not be found in the library.  It would most likely be found with the band director(s).  And you would most likely have at least one of those had you ever had lessons before.
In fact, if there was any significant concentration of method books, they'd probably be in a music-specific library.
