After much fear/nervousness Jason throws up a holy shield. Its very visible and it radiates warmth and light

The shield disappears leaving Jason sitting. he gets up

((Not necessarily.  Interleaving spells is totally possible unless otherwise stated.  So the holy aura might have been attached to the shield but  applied independently.))
