Give him a bit of a fudge factor for, you know, the whole it's been OOC weeks thing.  If time was progressing relatively faster, it's likely that he would still only be in this position or less.

To be fair, if we all remained at 24 hours-level of development, we would literally all not be talking to each other because it'd be far too awkward.
