Poor goddamned Louisiana. It's just been friggin' pummeled this hurricane season

Especially western Louisiana. They just had a bad one and still lots of people in some stage of cleaning up/repairs. People still with tarps covering their roofs.

Guess the up side is this one is moving relatively fast and it never really restrengthened to quite the intensity that was forecast a couple days ago. 110 MPH is nothing to sneeze at, but it's not as bad as it could have been. Not as bad as Cancun/Cozumel got.

Eta. Omega is the last greek letter in the greek alphabet. It's Zeta, then Eta, than Theta, then Hurricane Iota. That will be a particularly unfortunate name, but not as bad the one after, Hurricane Kappa.

Well on the bright side census day was April 1st so it won't be reflected in the numbers for a good 10 years.
