Glaring at Peter, she spat out,

"Ugh, I don't get you and the others in our group like you. I don't get why you're so obsessed with roleplaying right now. It's a waste of time. The only reason I was in here was to figure out the best way to sell my loot from last map so we could get better equipment. And instead of doing something useful you just wander into this inn to roleplay with people because maybe it'lls help! Hardly seems likely. I mean *come on!* We're literally in a life or death situation thanks to that psycho!! Can't you start to actually act seriously?"

She glared at him for a few more seconds before her eyes shot wide open and she clapped her hands over her mouth, horrified at what she had just said.

[SOLDIER First]

"..."

"...What did you say?"

[Xanmyral]

Xoddahs, blissfully unaware of the blunder, replies to a couple of the pings in the guild chat.

"Well, guy said as long as we just don't touch the webs we should be fine. I assume that shouldn't be too hard, usually games with raid bosses use easily avoidable smuck-bait to summon them. Will probably make trekking through harder and longer, though."

"Peter, of course it will. Main story quests in these kinds of things tend to do level hikes after a couple quests and I doubt this will be any different. If we don't keep up with our leveling we'll bite off more than we can chew, and not in the fun way. I'm all for challenge but I like an actual chance, mind you."

At the same time, Hajime receives a notification regarding his change in guild status.

"No no no no no no no no I screwed it all up. No. I didn't mean to. No. I didn't... I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I can't... Ugh, after getting so upset at everyone and I just... This is all my fault."

Riona slumped over, her head in her arms, resting on the table, just muttering under her breath at this point.

FlyingHigh blinks as the message pops up.

Her first thought is "we should really think of a name for the guild". Before actually understanding what it meant.

"Huh. He might, but you'd think he would try to keep it contained to avoid suspicion."

"I don't understand what you mean. What's life and death? This is just a game for fun."

Hajime looked between Peter and Riona with growing confusion. Being added to a new (unnamed) guild did not help.

Riona was still hunched over, unable to look at the man, but she did manage to quickly send a message to the guild chat.

"You're in the guild too... I'm sorry, but I really need to know what is going on."

I'm guessing someone other than me said something they shouldn't have; Sol and I were just luckier than Riona and no one was in earshot of us. Well, welcome aboard, Hajime. I'm Stein. If you're part of our guild, that probably means you're stuck in the game. Try logging out. If you can't, well... tough luck, but as long as we stick together we'll get through it all right.

One of the programmers picked a bunch of us at random, put us in a guild, and somehow is stopping us from logging out until we clear the main quest. Either he's mad no one's completed it yet or he's doing it just because he can. It's not important either way; until we beat the game, we're stuck in here. And I guess his threat to do the same to anyone we talk about it to wasn't idle if you're one of us now.

Hajime immediately opens the menu and slams the log out button.
