I don't understand the point of the (seemingly) random question. I don't see how the answers could benefit the town at all, so I'll automatically assume that you are a scum or are using some sort of gambit. Here's a question for you: Which one of those is it?

Peradon: Given that posts may be changed by the mod, when do you think it will happen? What do you intend to do to find out what has changed?

I think it will happen during the night or after the lynch. My initial thoughts are that when we quarantine someone, all the "Data" produced by that someone will be expunged, which means that we wont be able to do analyses as well. There is also the possibility that the Virus has the ability to change the post of someone...

Oragami: What should we do if anyone lurks for too long?

Quarantine them for proper removal.

Are you an advocate of Lynching all Lurkers? Do you have experience with this technique working?

Personally, I do not, but it worked OK for the players in the last game I ran...

Gambits are OK in certain situations, but I view every strategy as a whole as a big but small gambit. True gambits, though, are tough to pull off and too risky.

Shake, Well, let's see... the mod has said that he won't be outright lying to us, and he's said that there's a standard scumteam (does a cult count as standard? It just seems like it'd make more sense for a virus/anti-virus theme game). So, I'd say that either the scum also have some kind of puzzle they need to solve, in which case it'll probably be more difficult to figure out what's going on, or else they just need to kill off the town, in which case it'll probably be comparatively easier to figure out. This does depend on whether enough information is present in roles to figure out the game mechanics or if more information will be revealed at set points through flavourtext. As a proper answer, I'd imagine they're not too good at the minute but will get better as the game goes on.

I'm mostly indifferent towards rhetorical questions.

They are certainly interesting. But can also backfire spectacularly. Which makes them interesting.

NQT, that is probably doing a gambit anyway, just not overtly.

Yes, it is lazy. That said, they should still be answered because lazy does not mean it's not a valid question.

They are !fun! if they work. They are even more !fun! when they don't work.

Jusus, how do you manage to come up with so many different questions? I think that players who are not producing meaningful content will be the main points of toxicity. I am reasonably certain that everyone has different bits of information that could come together to make sense of what is going on. So people who don't provide enough content to reveal their part will hurt the town.

I just can't think of so many questions, but I do try to answer every question addressed to everybody, so I think it is still effective. Also, it gives more of a distinction between players depending on their answers which can be used later on to find members of scum.

Tomasque, this is what one of my older posts looks like now. This is what I was reffering to.

The point of these questions is to get people talking. The more people talking, the easier it is to find scum, usually. Claiming roles right now is probably not a good idea since the scum can just make up anything that sounds computer-e and pas it off as a role. That would just confuse everybody.
