A Flexible Mind: A Shadowrun Suggestion Game
« on: September 26, 2015, 12:02:25 am »

A bar of white light greets you as your eyes adjust to the blindingly bright light in front of you. The world is a blur, but after a few moments your vision clears. You find yourself in a cell of some kind, thick steel bars, and an old fashioned lock adorn the steel plated door. The walls of the hallway across from the cell look sterile and white. Your head is spinning, but you think you can hear someone clicking away at a computer just out of view of your cell. Your hands are cuffed, and you're in a white jumpsuit with the numbers '03-118' printed on it. Who are you? What are you doing here? Why are you here? Your last memories are fleeting, but you recall something about focusing on objects before everything went black.

I'm not quite sure this fits who we are... Especially because we summon things with our mind...

I hate to turn down a suggestion, but yeah, it doesn't fit. >_>

EDIT: Screw it. I'm going with the robot suggestion if no others come up. XD

A sapient robot has a mind. Juuust gonna point that out. A sentient robot would not have a mind. Cats are sentient. Humans are sapient.

Ohfoor's servos gave a slight grind as he stood up slowly, metallic hands handcuffed in front of him. His AC fans breathed in in pulses as he assessed where he was, looking around the unadorned sterile freshly painted white walls. Looking at his hands, the matte black and grey plastic casing over his chest, then his servo-jointed legs, it all felt strange and new somehow. The processors whirred as it attempted to come to terms with what was happening. After a few moments he calmed himself, starting to properly check his environment.

Around the corner of his cell, just out of sight, he heard the clicking of a keyboard, pressing himself against the cold steel bars he could barely make out a black uniformed guard, maybe 10 feet away. His form was bulky with a bulletproof vest and a riot shielded helmet; a small key ring at his hips. The sides of Ohfoor's cell were cobbled scrap steel, shined, but plated loosely. The sides also had one small barred viewing window. The one closest to the guard was empty, save for a few abandoned cables. The one on the Ohfoor's right seemed to be holding an inactive bipedal digigrade-legged machine; it's arms stripped, and legs visibly disconnected. The sides of the cell seemed loose enough to pry, but with the guard's thick helmet, he might not hear, and the lock in front seems to be well, mechanically locked.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

Failing that. See if you can jimmy the cuffs off.

Ohfoor lightly gripped the bars of his cell as he called out in a distinctly male voice, practically human, save the slight tinny-ness of the old speaker at the base of his 'neck'. "Hey!" he called, pressing his screen flush with the bars to get a better look at the guard. The guard turned his head to the open door to his station's right, failing to notice Ohfoor behind him in the cell. Ohfoor called out louder, "Hey! Where am I?" The guard shot out of his seat as soon as he turned far enough to see the edge of Ohfoor's screen through the bars.

The guard cautiously walked up to the cell, hand at his side, cupping the grip of a pistol, "Wha? Excuse me?" He just shook his head, taking his hand off the pistol once he got a good look into Ohfoor's cell. "Geez. What the hell. I thought someone broke in here for a sec." He paused, clearing his throat as he crossed his arms in a slightly irritated fashion, "Look, you aren't even supposed to be working. I'm going to call this in, see what they want done. Stay here. I'll be a minute." The last sentence carried a serious tone as he quickly jogged the short distance to the desk, picking up a radio, his back turned to you. His keyring was still at his side. A quick check of the cuffs reveals they weren't intended for reasonably flat handed robots, and your hand barely catches, with a little more force and time you can remove them as is.
