Game Mechanics

Spoiler: Food, Farming & Starvation (click to show/hide)

You will need to accrue food by the end of the season. This should be 10*population. This will probably be a little give or take, considering the real-time essence.

You can set a "baseline" of available food by dedicating population to food production (Hunting, gathering, fishing, farming, etc).

To discover crops, you need to "find" them through events. Alternatively, you can steal, raid or trade with NPC/other players for them.

Hints will be displayed in italic. This is to advise that you've made a glaring error that you should remember for next time.

Each event that is based on random decisions will be attached with the relative dice roll. For example:

The scout tripped on an overgrown root, causing the giant tiger to descent upon him¹. However, with either skill, luck or holy intervention, the scout was able to pull out his saber and cause the beast to leer backward¹⁹.

When posting, roleplay all you like. Whenever something needs a decision of luck being thrown however (events), highlight it in Bold and Red please.

This also goes for exploring, traveling, diplomacy (with any NPC nations), combat, events, etc.

All nations are currently "Migrating" and are pinpointed, till you choose to settle. Borders will form/appear/grow as the game advances.

Gameplay will "Pause" when seasons change. This will happen after a 'fair bit' if play.

Game difficulty will change with the seasons, weather and world stability.

Neat, considering the Crocomen are the closest to me, there may be some interesting opportunities there. But i really don't see a reason to NOT settle, because from what I see, it doesn't even have to be a permanent settlement. Though, I am interested in how some of the more mystical stuff is going to work.

Thaaat's a different place than I'd envisioned.

Alright then...I'd actually mean the bay on the northern half of the map. Ah well. Just a starting location, after all.

Uh...what would fit...a full moon, with a teardrop/raindrop shape coming down from the top/middle creating a shadow? I'm not sure...with hands behind/around it, as if giving the moon away, perhaps. Yeah, that seems good.

Setting up farming solutions and dedicating a population to food production (hunting, foraging, etc) would build a "base" food production.

You are right, though. I'll start handing out more food in events.

I think real time could probably work after we have gotten through this settlement phase. But either way I think it'll work well.
