I didn't bring a hunter with me to this map, and I'm kinda glad.  So far, I've lost 5 hunters to the local wildlife (wolves and the occasional cougar).  They generally leave me alone when I'm not hunting, but one wolf decided to wander close to my fort a bit ago:

Urist Ducimteskom, Champion cancels Shooting at Archery Range: Interrupted by wolf.

Curious to see how my legendary marksdwarf reacted to the wolf, I looked to my archery target... just in time to see the last few rapid-fire bolts sent after the wolf.  Judging from what I saw, the next message should have been:

Wolf cancels Breathe: Interrupted by =Ash Bolt=.

How nice of the wolf to provide a live target for my marksdwarf's practice.

On the flip side, I had a dwarf plinging away at the archery range near the entrance to the fort, and 16 goblin lashers looking in at him through the fortifications.

Ploing.  Ploing.

Eventually he finished his stack of 50 camel-bone bolts and got around to helping the visitors out.
