Is there a reason for the outpost liaison to stop arriving, other than civ going extinct?  The liaison arrived on schedule for three years, and hasn't been seen in the three years since.  I looked at legends on an alternate save, and there were no entries for my civ since embark except for my fort, and trying to re-embark after retiring the fort on the alternate save allows me to pick the same civ with no hint that it is endangered.

Am I just impatient?  Do I just need to wait longer, or is something else up?

It does happen, and the liaison can then suddenly appear again. The reason might be that the liaison is unable to reach your site, perhaps because of a siege.

Thank you!  Unfortunately the liaison never did return, and after a couple more years that fort ran into a bizarre problem (a bug or something) where all hauling suddenly ceased, so I had to abandon it.
